Books to Read Tanong

Is anybody else a bit bored with vampire books. They are everywhere now! (Good non-vampire book recommendations for teenagers)

Don't get me wrong, I like vampire books they will always have a special place in my heart. But they are EVERYWHERE now!!! Please recommend some other types of books. Preferably about romance, horror, murder, historical fiction even, any goog books that don't involve vampires. Supernatural and books like Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Powers series are good too.

The immortals series are good and they aren't about vampires. The first book is Evermore is a romance series.

Thanks for recommending Evermore but I already read it. It was still too vampireish to me even though they weren't anywhere in the books.

Books to Read Sagot

Mysteriamoon said:
The last apprentice series is creepy, magical, and does not include vampires.

The Gemma Doyle trilogy has absolutely no vampires. It's romance, fantasy, and historical fiction all in one. And no one sparkles voluntarily.

Of course, there's also Harry Potter, Eragon, and Percy Jackson - a few series that neither have nor need vampires. (I think Bampira get mentioned briefly in Harry Potter, but they don't play any important roles.)

I find Neil Gaiman a very good may-akda when it comes to Pagsulat wonderfully dark fantasies. So those I definitely reccomend.

Robert Cormier is great at Pagsulat stories that reach out for adolescents. I've read three of his books so far, and I couldn't put them down for a second.

I'm sure you've also heard of Phillip Pullman's His Dark Material. It's a delicios series! Possibly my paborito out of all of them.

I used to read The Bloody Jack series; A story about a young girl, enduring the hardship of being a young cockney woman in the 18th century. Pretty much she dresses up as a boy to sneak on to a ship which in turns triggers a series of nautical misadventures.

I'm sick of vampire stories, myself.

Ok, this should be easy since I'm sick of vampire books as well! Remember Me Trilogy by: Christopher Pike, Beautiful Creatures by: Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, Ordinary People by: Judith Guest, Need by: Carrie Jones (sequel is Captivate), Incarceron by: Catherine Fisher and Ranger's Apprentice series by: John Flanagan (7 books so far). All of these are totally awesome! ;) oh, and Wings by: Aprilynne sibat is one of the most pure and beautiful books about faeries that I've ever read! Ooohhh, oohhh and the Darkest Powers Trilogy by:Kelley Armstrong. I was so addicted that I barely managed to stop myself from pagbaba them 24/7 til I was done! Sooooo good!!! ;) And Impossible by: Nancy Werlin, which is such a mind-bending and fantastical story that I was in pag-ibig with it after my first read! The Summer I Turned Pretty by: Jenny Han was almost haunting. It has a sequel now that's great as well!
