Celebrity biographer and Pagsulat coach, Randy Jernigan, was forced to kanselahin a number of professional commitments this buwan when gout pain and blood pressure issues became so extreme, the writer had to seek medical attention.

Randy was diagnosed "years ago" as suffering with the condition that causes intense pain, usually in the feet, ankles and knees, and is experienced sa pamamagitan ng only two percent of the American population.

Randy tells Fanpop.com, "I was in the middle of this terrible pain in my knees and ankles. Because of the condition being so severe, I had developed tumors in my legs related to the condition. It's sort of a rare thing, mostly genetic, and exceptionally painful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, if I had one. I felt terrible having to kanselahin a commitment but sometimes you just have to call in sick," Randy explained.

In early June Randy shared on his Facebook page that he had suffered a minor stroke, related to his chronic gout condition.

Randy is best known as a celebrity biographer and Pagsulat coach. Randy's 'Life and Career of Marie Osmond' has hit several best seller lists and he's currently busy promoting Les Bailey's The Vampire Game trilogy.

Randy has experienced this pain since early childhood. Hopefully this latest round of treatment will give him some much needed relief so he can get out and promote his upcoming Ellen DeGeneres biography that I reported on earlier this year.

God bless you, my friend!

For a lot of people with chronic disease, the inability to work is a difficult and frustrating reality. Contrary to common misconceptions that not working must be "nice." Or must be like taking an "extended vacation," the lack of a job for medical reasons can have significant consequences on a person's sense if identity--not to mentions finances and interpersonal relationships.

Writer Randy Jernigan recently shed some light on this reality while he was a guest on Donny Max's 'Lets Talk About It' radio program out of Seattle. Randy, who has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure, Chronic...
