I looking for a great Tv show...

I'd like it to be British...maybe Irish or Scottish. It has to have some kind of love-hate romance to it... Possibly set in the country. If anyone's seen the old Tv ipakita 'Ballykissangel' then I'm looking for that kind of style, but with a happier ending!
