they all cared about her, but spike gave a whole sappy speech about why he loved her! sure he's done bad things, but he's also protected her, been there for her, and overall loved her the most.

I have to say Spike, because his love developed into a selfless love. In the end, he loved her more than he cared about being with her. It was ok with him if she didn't love him back, it didn't change his love for her. Plus, they just spent more time together, knew each other better. I've always thought of Angel and Buffy's love as first love; they didn't really know each other that well. They didn't develop together and Buffy just isn't the same person she was when Angel loved her.

As much as I am a Bangel fan, i do think Spike loved Buffy the most. I agree with fanfly, he didn't care about not being with her as long as she was happy.

well angel has done more for her, cared for her the most and angel never stoped loving her

while i do think spike definitely loved buffy-
i just think no one loved buffy more than angel did....out of the many sacrifices he made for her- i think the biggest one was giving up being human and finally being able to be happy in order to save buffy's life.
and the other huge sacrifice he made...spike did not do but could have done (he couldn't have given up the opportunity to be human b/c he wasnt given that opportunity). angel gave up his relationship with buffy, the one person he ever loved (im using his words, not mine), in order for her to live a more enriching and fulfilled life. he knew that being a vampire, he could not provide the sort of life buffy deserved and he sacrificed his own happiness in order for her to one day find peace and happiness.
while spike definitely was selfless at times with his love for buffy....he did not make that same sacrifice angel did,he stayed with buffy- hoping she would love him back. he did not give up their relationship in order for her to live a more fulfilled life.
IMO what angel did is the definition of selfless true love.

Spike loved her more, i'm absolutely sure. Her relationships with Angel have never been so tender and touching as with Spike. And he loved her even without a soul, i think it means a lot!!!
And all these times Spike saved her, risked his life for Buffy...
Just all the looks and touches between them! I think that was the real love!

@ jemgrl323, in the end Spike didn't stick around because he still hoped that they would get together, he stuck around in order to be there for Buffy, regardless of whether or not she loved him. Which is more than Angel did. He left her, even though she could have used his help, because he couldn't put her needs before his desires.

hmmm i'm Spuffy fan but I think they both loved her .Angel and Spike cared about her.

Definently Spike! he gave the Aw-able speech and got a soul for her

but fanfly, the whole point of angel leaving was because buffy asked him "How am I supposed to stay away from you?" so angel said he will leave. he picked up everything and left in order to make buffy's life easier, in order for her to live the most fulfilling life she could live. he didn't abandon her in the middle of a fight...he saved her heart ache and protected her heart.
i am not saying spike did not love her and did not do many selfless things in the name of love for buffy....but that was one sacrifice spike COULD have made but he did not- and angel did.
