Lola Bunny (The Looney Tunes Show) Hate

KataraLover I will give you the whole offensive to other cultures thing (that was more of something I heard other people complain about rather than something I found annoying) and that a lot of the Looney Tunes characters (besides the original Lola, Tina, and in my opinion Bugs) aren't very good role models. As for Daffy, I will admit that in the shorts he's not very bright and does have his stupid moments but he also had a lot of clever moments where he tricked his enemies (not Bugs or Speedy obviously). The New Lola is more similar to the Daffy in the new Looney Tunes Show, where he acts a lot more like Peter Griffith than Daffy Duck. A for the Coyote, I think it's more that he's over his head (a lot like Daffy) and his plans backfiring because of cartoon logic that never lets anything bad happen to the thing the character is chasing but bad things will happen to them, not so much his intelligence. As for not taking it seriously, I personally disagree. The environment is supposed to portray more real life because it's like a sitcom, similar to a show like Friends (except it's not funny, at least in my opinion), so I take them a lot more seriously than I do the actual shorts. I mean, in this show no one is falling off a cliff or getting smashed with anvil's. They've pretty much established in the show that if they fell from a cliff that they will die, which again takes away a lot of the charm of the original humor of the shorts. I probably would be able to like her character more if they had made Tina like this instead of making Lola like this. But I just can't get past it no matter how hard I try. I watch some scenes with her and try to forget about her Space Jam self and think that I should be laughing and finding her charming but I just can't because I find her too insulting. With that aside, I'll explain the adultery thing. Committing adultery doesn't automatically equal having sex with someone you're not with. But adultery does mean that you are cheating on someone (particularly someone you are engaged or married to) with someone else, whether or not they have sex (which in mind they don't because I don't associate cartoons with that). I actually think Bugs is a really good role model because he's smart and shows people how they can be clever and outsmart people. Besides, it's usually people who deserve it. Bugs has influenced me as a person and I strive to be like him everyday of my life, except get my jerky friend shot (Daffy). But overall, great review and I am a little bit more open-minded about her. So I guess she's not my absolutely least favorite Looney Tunes character (Montana Max is definitely that) but she's still one of them. I just can't forgive what they did to someone who was such a BIG part of my childhood. But again, great job and I'm glad I could get a different perspective on this version of Lola, especially from someone who loves the original Lola more, since most fans of the New Lola don't like the original Lola. One last thing is that while Miss Piggy is a stalker, she's still strong, smart, competent, and independent like the old Lola. As for Daisy, man, she's a really unfaithful little tramp in the comics! Sounds like Donald should have dumped that gold digger a LONG time ago!

cruella Thanks. I'm glad you liked it even if you do disagree with my opinion. And I do kind of understand what your saying about the show possibly being something people would take more seriously. As far as adultery goes I had always heard it meant to cheat on your spouse by having sex with someone else. Anyway I can't wait to see your Lola review.
