New at this...

So, I'm new at Christianity. I'm in it on my own, and I don't have many people to talk to about it. I was wondering, I've heard that God is a forgiving one. But then, he does not like it when we sin. If he forgives us, then is there really such a thing as sinning?

kristyanismo Sagot

Cinders said:
When you were a child, and you did something your mother told you was wrong (say, snuck downstairs and ate all the cookies before dinner), what did she do? She didn't throw you out of the house and never speak to you again. She might have scolded you, but she always loves you, and she forgave you eventually. Does that mean eating all the cookies wasn't wrong? Of course not. All it means is your mother loves you unconditionally.

And so does God.

Magica said:
God doesn't like it when we sin, but forgiveness of sins is why He sent Hesus to earth. We're all sinners, and we can't always help it, but if we ask forgiveness and are truly sorry, He forgives us.
