I think if Damon and Bonnie become endgame thier will always be a part of Damon that will love Elena but if Damon and Elena become endgame I think apart of Damon will always love Bonnit.

I think Damon loves Bonnie already but is refussing to see it through because he has set a goal to get Elena and we wont stop to he get what he wants.They have shared kisses and moments where Damoins soul has been exposed to her. Damons wants Elena but he dose not need her but I think Damon needs Bonnie because i think she is the girl Damon needed all thouse years ago when he was mortal.Damon has been 2nd place to everyone he has met his father,Katherine and now Elena, everyone expects the worst from him and dont take it as a surpise because they look at Damons killings and his bloodbaths as him being an asshole or just his vampire nature but Damon dose them for a reason and i dont think many people understand that in the books. Bonnie and Damon need each other

I think Bonnie because as LoVeLL said, she is the only one who sees his flaws and to some extent accepts them. Yes, he needs to stop being so self-centered, but only feels conscious that his bad traits could hurt someone when he's around Bonnie.

She choose him first. She liked Matt but when she saw Damon, she actually choose him first. Not like Elena who loves both but choose Stefan.
His father, elena, and maybe Kat choose Stefan first and Damon always felt like living in Stefan's shadow so basically my thought about Delena it's that Damon finally wanted to be the first and Elena who looks exactly like Katherine wants Stefan and he thinks that if he make her love him, she will eventually dumb stefan and choose him first. But if you tell me that love is what DE is... I laugh...

Damon always says that he loves Elena and everything, but just saying I LOVE YOU it doesn't mean its real... while with Bonnie, he never said tht he loved her but he proved it, saving her like 100 times, giving her his blood nd now, He died for her, I mean he sacrifice himself for Bonnie. We all know how Damon loves himself and sacrificing himself for some else, it only can mean something: LOVE

so... Elena's love for Damon aren't even close to how much Bonnie loves Damon

I agree with lovelustandlies. Damon makes Bonnie grown up and protects her. And Bonnie is someone that could fully love Damon and just Damon.They do need each other.
