Ok here's some quotes "If I thought it would do you any good, I'd leave. I wouldn't expose you to Damon. But I don't think he'd follow me if I went, not any more. I think he might stay—because of you." - (Struggle Book) Stefan to Elena Stefan basically saying that even if he left town Damon would not following him anymore. Stefan realized Damon was not on games anymore Damon was falling in love with Elena and that's why he said he knew even if he left town Damon would not follow him but would stay in town because of Elena. "Something was building between them, something that frightened Elena with its power." (Struggle Book) - Elena about her and Damon "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn about anyone else."- Damon to Elena Fury Book Those were the early days when Damon was selfish and he had a selfish love for Elena. LotusWhispers I do think that Damon thinks Bonnie is cute, has a harmless little crush on her and ultimately cares for her as a good friend. However, he never puts her in the same league as Elena, and never chooses her over Elena. People have said "He liked her before Elena!" Um, so what? If he likes Bonnie so much, tell me why he doesn't tell her he wants her by his side, why he doesn't tell her he's in love with her, why doesn't he kiss her passionately like he does with Elena? If Damon really loves Bonnie, why would he hurt her by rubbing his love for Elena in her face constantly, when he was alive and again when he's dying? He told Elena he only loved once, and I think this was right in front of Bonnie. He reached over Bonnie to hold Elena's hand when he thinks he has his last breath, not Bonnie's. He didn't hold both girls' hands or Bonnie's, he made the choice to share his last moments on Earth dedicating them to Elena. He said Elena's love made his life mean something, not Bonnie's and the only thing he said to Bonnie in the end was that he was sorry for being mean to her and if she can forgive him. I mean, the fact that Damon was mean to Bonnie in the first place, doesn't that say a lot? In the earlier books, he describes her as being too cheery for him, too childish and he said that Elena never annoys him like Bonnie does with her antics. I put the exact in the article, he says this exact thing in Shadow Souls! "It was difficult for anyone to stay annoyed at Elena. Damon to Elena: “You’re probably taking them to their deaths, you know. You, I could probably protect. But you and Stefan, and your two little teenage girlfriends…I can’t.” Wow, he doesn't even call Bonnie by name, how special. He calls her Elena's little teenage girlfriend. And what's really ironic, is he was right! Bonnie goes to the Dark Dimension in Midnight, and he has to save her because she isn't capable of doing it on her own like he felt Elena was. I'm sorry but Damon may think Bonnie is cute and amusing, at times (not even all the time) but he is head over heels for Elena and he doesn't even care if Bonnie sees it or is hurt by it. On the other hand, Damon and Bonnie's "relationship" (quote end quote!) is so subtle and miniscule, it doesn't even register to Elena. Damon would NEVER wave anything around with Bonnie in front of Elena. It's only when Elena is not around, that he does anything with Bonnie, whether it be because Elena is dead or in another dimension. I think this speaks volumes. If this was a play, Elena would be Damon's leading lady, and Bonnie would be the alternate.

She's never on his mind, you never read anything about how Damon feels for Bonnie. Out of sight is out of mind. But throughout the books your reading how Damon feels for Elena and he finally in Midnight Book says the actual I love you words but he never said it before. He wanted Elena to know he loved her and only her on his last breath he wanted her to know that. How in the heck anyone can say otherwise is beyond me. Its actually denying what the author wrote. Which means some people have created their own version of Vampire Diaries and is not even taking into account what was actually written. Also here is another "humanity quote" "Worst of all was the fact that charming girls, deceiving girls, was practically Damon’s own raison d’être. It was certainly the only reason he’d been able to keep on living for the past half millennium. And yet he knew that he must not, must not even start the process with this one girl who, to him, was the jewel lying on the dung heap of humanity. To all appearances, he was perfectly in control, icy and precise, distant and disinterested." -Narration about Damon & Elena (Shadow Souls Book) ^^^^ Yes so its what the author has written. People honestly look really silly denying what the author has in fact written. There are many other quotes in the books that shows Damon and Elena's deep love a love so when I find them I'll post it.

bratski2192 Love these quotes!!!! <3 Im not gonna bash or anything, but from what I understand, some book-DB fans reason for Damon not saying that he did in fact love Bonnie was becuz he hadnt realized his deep-hidden love for her. Um, theres a few problems with that logic. First, wouldnt have Elena seen any of that in his soul/chained boy & his mind? Wouldnt he have admitted his true feelings if he were to die? His long-unspoken love for Elena finally came out into the open & now supposedly hes lying when hes dying?! Now, another thing that some say is that LJ saying that Damon would grow to love Bonnie in The Hunters Trilogy if she had written it doesnt mean too much, even if he did get jealous or not. His feelings for Bonnie may grow to love, but true/pure/unspoken love? I just dont c it after Midnight. Id think that wed have been cheated out of what was said in the Original Series & The Return Trilogy. Its not just me wanting to c anything past Delena either. Its whats printed as plain as day in all of the books, stating Damons undying, passionate, & eventual selfless love for Elena to his last breath. JMO.

That would be the only way LJ could give Bonnie the upper hand over Elena. Like I said, Damon only seems to care somewhat of Bonnie when Elena is not around but when she is, he picks her over Bonnie everytime. Name me a time where Damon kissed Bonnie or some other sign of affection in front of Elena? Never. Name me a time where Damon did for Elena? There are several. I can't see how Damon would love Bonnie if he kept throwing her to the side whenever Elena was around.

JanaP I believe that after Damon lost his memory and he has supposed to get close to Bonnie,the only way I can imagine it, because he don´t remember loving Elena. I think it was said for a reason: "Loving JUST ONCE, WILL YOU REMEBER IT ELENA" He could just say I love you, but the author for a reason decided that he says like in the future Elena need to remember it.

Damon and Elena story is so epic because you have two people that are truly meant to be but because of the situation they are in they're not allowed to be together. Their love is forbidden, wrong. *bawlssss* I always say if two people love each other then it doesn't matter what other people say Love doesn't ask questions its not black and white , wrong or right it just is and it just happens can't control it :)

I am in pag-ibig with Vampire Diaries. However, it is my duty as a tagahanga to not stand aside and watch the writers and the fans of this spectacular ipakita make the biggest mistake ever! pag-ibig is a very passionate thing and no matter who Elena chooses in the end if she chooses stefan..... it will be the biggest mistake she will ever make in her life and for the Stelena fans..... you know I am write and you are probably thinking who the hell is this person Stefan is hot, well i will admit he is pretty hot, but pag-ibig depends on passion and how much a person connects and damon and elena have a relationship(besides the sire bond) that i am pretty sure any girl or maybe guy....... would kill for. so if the writers choose the wrong one i am sorry to say but they do not understand pag-ibig and that is a shame because this is the perfect pag-ibig story.

I asked myself why the Elena from the TV ipakita is so different from the Elena from the books. In the books, Elena is a spoiled highschool reyna at the beginning of the story and stays very bossy throughout the books, while Katherine is a docile and obedient Renaissance girl, until she becomes insane. And one reason for this change in the characters could be that it is easier to ipakita Delena’s development as twin flames. Because although it is not sinabi like in the books, all of the parallels of DE in the show, the fact that they are so much alike ("She already IS like me.") and everything else...

After watching the amazing "I remember everything" 4x01 scene and Damon's awesome speech defending his decision to save her first, even if Matt had died, something has been playing on my mind that I wanted to write about and share with you.
Elena's logic about Stefan respecting her because he listened to her, whereas Damon is selfish and couldn't let go doesn't make sense.
Quick re-run of 3x22: Elena values Matt's life before her's, and her decision is for Matt to be saved first, even if it means she dies in the process. Stefan doesn't like this. He wants to save Elena first, not Matt, but...

I think there are a multitude of purposes behind Damon not getting the girl...yet. First of all, she still has feelings for Stefan and their relationship problems this season have been over what Klaus did to Stefan and the effects it had on his character, not because of the relationship itself. So this relationship needs real closure, closure that can't be blamed on Klaus and their faithfulness to one another had to be rewarded. Second, Elena, as human, possessed an appreciation for the type of pag-ibig Stefan gave to her because of it's influence on her recovery after her parents death, and the...

He never felt like he had to tell her. If she had known, who knows what should would have done or what their relationship would be like. He never told her, because he never felt like he had to use that to get closer to her. He never had to use that memory to get on her good side again, just like the Rose memory. The very first episode of the Vampire Diaries that I saw was the segundo episode of the first season. I did not ship Delena the minuto I saw them together. I shipped Stelena first. I was shipping Stelena first because I thought Stefan was a perfect fit. He was good for Elena. And Damon was the bad boy come to town to destroy his little brother's life and try to steal his girl. On January the 2nd in 2011 some family came to visit, bringing along a hard drive with many series and pelikula on it. Among the series, there was one labeled "The Vampire Diaries". It stuck out to me for 2 reasons.

Don't go crazy on in this artikulo I will try to subjective. A side the fact I don't really like Stefan that much and hate stelena but this ipakita has focused A LOT on Stefan's history.

I mean isn't about the 3 main characters (Damon, elena, and Stefan) about their history and how they changed as characters, but all we have seen and learned about for the last 2 seasons is Stefan past, who he was, what he did (his past as riper), his friends(lexie) ,and who became good Stefan.

I really hope there is a change of gears in the upcoming episodes.

Seriously! Stefan ended things with Elena and sure he still loves her but I mean HE REMEMBERS HIS pag-ibig WITH REBECA (LOVED that twist with her and Klaus knowing him btw)

I am praying that Stefan and Rebeca rekindle their relationship. That way Stefan will finally be in a happy relationship where he doesn't have to constantly worry about the pag-ibig of his life being in danger because of it.

What's your opinion on Kevin Williamson's latest interview on Delena? It seemed to depress, annoy, anger and strike fear in the hearts of a lot of shippers.
