1)Before you start, you need a storyline
Pagsulat a story requires planning. Think of a general storyline. The worst thing you can do is start Pagsulat and go with the flow. ‘Cause you don’t know where you’ll end up. Most importantly, before you begin, you need to know how you want the story to end. Think of madami than one storyline and let them flow together. If you’re a good writer, that shouldn’t be a problem.
2)Official characters/Own character
Obviously the main characters of your story are going to be Damon and Elena. But you should spend some time to the other characters as well. If you can’t make certain characters likeable, then you should try to make them interesting, but don’t pretend they don’t exist. They could be very useful for your story. You can also add your own characters, but only if you’re certain they will serve the story. Otherwise they’re just a waste of page space.
3)Set a for your story
Decide how many chapters you want to spend. For example: all my tagahanga fictions contain 22 chapters and I manage to get the story told in those 22 chapters.
Everything you didn’t get to tell in your first story, you can write in a sequel. I’m Pagsulat my segundo DE story and I’m planning on at least two more.
4)Don’t ask people what they want in the story
You need to ask yourself a question: do you want to write a good story or do you want to please the fans? If you’re a true DE fan, then what you want is bound to be similar to what the fans want. Besides, readers aren’t writers. You’re in control of the story, you call the shots.
5)Defining scenes
You’re Pagsulat DE, so you should add some of the scenes that define them, such as kusina scenes, bedroom scenes, kuwintas scenes, road trips, …
6)Don’t rush the story
Again, you’re Pagsulat DE, so take it slow. If you’re going to have them jump each other’s Buto in the first chapter it’s way too fast and they’re not any different then SE. One of the greatest things about DE is their journey.
7)Don’t be afraid to ask help
Like I sinabi before, you’re in control of the story. But that doesn’t mean you can’t ask people for help. Just make sure you ask it of people who know what they’re doing.
8)Write real scenes
Some people simply write that they saw on the show, as if their Pagsulat the ipakita in a book. That's not writing, that's describing the scenes that were written sa pamamagitan ng someone else. It's cheap and everyone can do it.
9)Be bold
You have an awesome idea, but you're afraid of people's reactions? Don't be. Just go for it. And if they don't like it, sucks for them.
Any madami tips? Say it in the comments and I’ll add them to the list. Credits will be given.
