Elena came in and called out in her cheery voice, “Stefan, are you here?”
Damon gritted his teeth and took a heavy swig of his bourbon. It was just a few days nakaraan that he killed a woman named Jessica out on the road sa pamamagitan ng feeding off of her. She looked at him and saw pain etched in his face and tears welling in his eyes that he refused to let spill. “Please, Damon, you’re better than that. Please, let me help you. Talk to me,” she urged in an attempt to console him.
“No! No, I’m not, Elena. You’d like to believe that but I’m not who you want me to be. I tried. I can’t. I just can’t be who you want me to be,” he told her; his eyes spilling over now.
