Elena is fierce. She's human, and essentially the weakest of the group, but she fights like a trooper and would do anything to protect those she loves, including (but not limited to) putting herself in harm's way. She deserves fans' pag-ibig and admiration, not their censure and hatred! I think a big part of it is jealousy anyway - because she has Stefan and Damon, as well as others, totally ga-ga over her. Jealousy is an ugly emotion, especially when it manifests itself over the internet!
Not my words, but they may as well been. A lot of people assume Delena fans only like them because of Damon....
