Apparently, certain images CAN be uploaded to polls. The thing is, you kinda need to guess at it.

^Yeah they have to be jpg images I think. Neither jpeg or png images seem to work. If an image is one of the latter two, you can try screenshotting it - the resulting screenshot should be in jpg format.

My research job centres around the regulation of AI so I could go off on this if you let me lol. Unfortunately don't have enough time atm, but I'll leave you with a quote from a journal article I just read: the issues surrounding the regulation of technology "are more important for our societies and their governance than virtually any of the other topics that the legal discipline could offer". That is, going forward, there is no topic more important than the regulation of technology.

AI is gonna be what we make of it: how we regulate it, who controls it, who gets the wealth generated by it. As Stephen Hawking stated: “Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution." He also notes that so far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality. link by the UN Human Rights Council notes the same, and also discusses some examples of how AI-informed decision-making by governments could actually entrench class divides and racial inequalities.

AI will be dangerous for these sorts of economic reasons far before it becomes dangerous for the hypothetical, sci-fi-esque "it's gonna enslave humanity". If the machines are owned only by a few people, their wealth is gonna skyrocket at the same time as millions are made unemployed. That's not a sustainable society. We're seriously struggling even with the level of inequality we have right now. It's gonna be incredibly important to ensure that the profits from automation are not concentrated into the hands of a few people or corporations.

On the flip side, if the wealth generated by AI is distributed fairly, we can create a society where people work less and have more free time.

It really just depends on how we respond.

I mean I've seen some super cool and fun AI stuff. LIke that artbreeder site and waifulabs but it can also be dangerous and used for some dystopian shit.

We live in times with divine bionics
Some play God, others grind for profits.
Man and machine combined, symbiotic
But will humankind stand by, or fight the Omnics?

As long as it’s used by those who don’t take it too far, I think it’s could be useful. I like how it can create images of rooms, places, and even people who don’t exist. And the fact that it makes music (see here: link) is also pretty cool.

Expanding on my comment; I feel like we're already getting into dystopian territory where the government is using technology for horrid things. They're giving police crazy power (like the riot gear is something straight out of a cyberpunk dystopia). I can't find the initial article I read this on (might try to dig it up later if I get more time) but Alexa and Amazon Echo are nightmares for tenants and landlords can use it to spy on tenants. link I've also heard instances of the possibility of smart tech (like fridges and security systems) being used to lock tenants out for late rent payments and the like.

Now idk if this is just conspiracy bullshit but I've also heard that there are plans to use 5g tech in smart cars to be able to take control of a car and slow it down or stop it all together in instances of police trying to pull some over for speeding. I can see that being abused like crazy.
