The Princess and the Pea

The story starts long nakaraan in a far away country. In the country there lives a smart and bravo handsome prince, named Antonio who has to marry a "true princess" to save his kingdom from peril. Princesses from far and wide have failed because of his jealous step mother, reyna Sonya who has placed a curse on the kingdom that's so powerful, only true pag-ibig can stop it.

The curse goes:
"If one does not feel a ruffle in her sheet, the kingdom will become dark and bleak. A princess of true grace and nobility, one of good faith and sensitivity, will destroy the wicked spell, and true pag-ibig will prevail."

If Antonio doesn't marry he will never be crowned king of his land and the kingdom will fall into darkness. But if he can find a "true princess", the curse will be lifted and the kingdom will return to its former glory.

One araw while on a hunting trip with his goofy friend, Ramon, he meets the young peasant girl, Carmen and her pagkain loving, crazy talking, bird named Jorge. The two have an argument and Antonio hits his head on a puno branch. Carmen brings him to her families farm and heals him. Together they sing ("All I Ever Wanted") and the two realize they pag-ibig each other and they meet in secret for weeks. Antonio finally reveals to Carmen that he can only marry a "true princess"and they can't see each other anymore. After hearing this Carmen, heartbroken and upset runs away.

While pag-awit ("All I Ever Wanted Reprise") and rummaging around in her attic, her grandmother tells her she is a true princess of noble birth but she was forced to go into hiding because an evil reyna wanted her dead as she is the only princess who can break the powerful spell.

Carmen sets off to find Antonio. reyna Sonya finds out about this so she sends her minions Ricardo and Alfredo, out to destroy her. Carmen outwits them and continues on to the kingdom. Upon her arrival, Sonya disguises herself as a kind old maid offering shelter in the guest room of the royal palace. There under 20 mattresses there is a single pea. Sonya believes that Carnen won't feel the gisantes and her curse will happen. Carmen goes to sleep but wakes up after feeling something hard under her. There she finds the gisantes and alerts the captain of the guards who finds Antonio and tells him what happened. reyna Sonya's curse is broken and she and her black magic is destroyed. Antonio and Carmen marry and restore the kingdom while the gisantes is place in the royal museum.

On the eighth araw of Princess Walt Disney gave to me

Eight mice a-sewing

seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

I guess I have to apologize...I did my best to create pages featuring the princesses as the sole centre of attraction, but with hasmin that is a little bit difficult because she is usually featured with Aladdin, rarely alone. I could have either found or created a picture of hasmin if I really wanted to, but I really liked this one and it just seemed to fit her the best. So I made...

On the Third araw of Princess Walt Disney gave to me,

Three fairy spells,
Two lucky pals,
and the wisdom of an old tree.

Another day, another page for the calendar. And unlike the last one, this one was kind of a headache for me. Remember a while back when I asked you which princess fits which months? Most of you felt that Merida belongs into autumn because of her red hair. Thing is: I already had three princesses for autumn. In addition, I don't think that bravo is actually set in fall, I think it is either spring or summer during the movie. So I hope that you are not too disappointed that I ended...

On the segundo araw of Princess Walt Disney gave to me,
Two Lucky pals,
and the Wisdom of an old Tree

So as promised the segundo araw of goodies with a new page for the calendar. I will, btw, upload all the calendar pages separately in the image section of the spot once my 12 days of princesses are done, and all of them have been revealed. I am pondering if I should also create a version which has all pages on one big sheet. If there is any interest in this, please comment. Also, if someone wants a different seize for the mga wolpeyper then the three I am already offering, I am open for request. Speaking...

Wow, ok. It's been five years (oh lordy) since I last wrote one of these, and with a new princess officially in the lineup I think it's high time I revisited my list. Let's do this.

12. Rapunzel

Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh Rapunzellllllllllllllllllll I really wish I liked her madami than I do. The funny thing is that I actually think she's a great character and she's also one of my most relatable DPs, but despite this she just doesn't do it for me. There are two primary reasons for this. Firstly, she is not a particularly believable character for me. Seriously, no one would be that socially well-rounded after...

Out of the entire princess lineup, only three of them were the biggest part of my childhood. Sinderella was sorta part of my childhood but mainly the Brandi Norwood version because I preferred that one over the animated version. And I’m not counting Rapunzel because her movie came out when I was almost an adult.

3. Mulan

A lot of you might know that Mulan is my paborito princess and she’s been number 1 on my listahan for years. I was 5 years old when I watched her movie on tape and I remember being so in pag-ibig with her and the movie immediately. Mulan was one of the biggest feminist icons in my...
