Hello everyone!
I was always that little girl who wanted to grow up to be a princess. I've been obsessed with the Disney Princesses my entire life, and when I was young Ariel was my #1 favorite! The Little Mermaid was practically the only movie I would watch, and I had the entire thing memorized. I would amble around pag-awit the songs from it (especially Part of Your World), so my mother decided to put me in a choir.
I HATED it.
My parents finally let me quit, on the condition that I must continue doing something with music. I decided to try violin and I also began to take figure skating lessons once a week. Don't get excited, I can't do any fancy tricks or anything. It was just recreational and I've never been in any competitions. After 4 years of violin I had grown to despise it, and I quit after 6th grade. (Beginning to see a trend here?)
My best friend was part of a choir, so I decided to give pag-awit a segundo chance. I must have just needed some time to mature after quitting my very first choir, because I ended up loving this one! Unfortunately I was forced to quit after a taon due to monetary and transportation issues. Afterwards, I began playing the Celtic harp, and have been doing that ever since. My harp teacher also teaches voice, so a few years nakaraan I returned to singing, which has always been my greatest musical love. I'm also a member of my school's choir.
My entire life I've been a voracious reader - at least until high school rolled around and the sudden homework deluge forced me to stop. I still try to read as much as possible, but it gets increasingly difficult with each passing year. I especially pag-ibig retellings of classic fairytales, and this is probably the reason why I pag-ibig the Disney Princesses so much.
After my sophomore taon my figure skating slowly drew to a close because I got a job!! :D I work as an intern at my local zoo, and it's a blast. I have a deep-seated pag-ibig for mga hayop of all kinds, but horses are my paborito sa pamamagitan ng far. They are another life long obsession of mine, and I hope someday I'll be able to have one of my own.
I'll be heading off to college susunod year, and I'm thinking about doing a double major in creative Pagsulat and environmental science. At this point in my life I would pag-ibig to be an author, but a madami realistic career choice for me would probably be something that had to do with the science surrounding climate change and/or the environment. This may change though, and I'm excited to see what the future brings. :)
