 Everyone's reaction to fanfiction
Everyone's reaction to fanfiction
I pag-ibig pagbaba fanfiction. Especially the really stupid ones where some Mary Sue meets Justin Bieber at Starbucks and two minutos later, she's pregnant.
Anyway, Disney fanfiction is usually read-able... usually.

Now, I don't write fanfiction. Frankly, I'm far too lazy to finish a full story, although I am quite imaginative and I do feel that I understand the characters well enough to do an okay job in portraying them. A big problem in Disney fanfiction, and fanfiction in general, is that authors often misunderstand the characters.

In this article, I am going to focus solely on high school AUs, because the concept is very popular in Disney fanfiction, and all these problems seem to stem from misunderstanding, or even bias, of the characters. I really hope to help a lot of fanfiction writers in their writing.
Now, let's see...

1) Aurora is the meanest, craziest skank in school and everyone hates her

Aurora is not a very popular princess, but that doesn't mean she should be used as a plot device in order to make us sympathize with the protagonist. The whole point of Pagsulat fanfiction is to use popular characters from a ipakita or movie or whatever, and include them in your own story. Aurora is far too nice to go out of her way to ruin anybody's life, and she's definitely too shy to publicly humiliate somebody. Why use her name and her face and then stick the poor girl with an awful personality that's nothing like her own? Now that's just mean. If you don't like Aurora, then don't even include her, especially if you're going to completely change her personality.
Note: I will probably write an artikulo listing all the Disney girls who could fill the role of some kind of mean girl in fanfiction. Aurora's not one of them.

2) Belle is a shy, nerdy prude who gets straight As and does nothing but study

Let me start off sa pamamagitan ng saying that Belle is not shy. She's antisocial, yes, but seeing the way she talks to Gaston, the beast, and pretty much everybody in town ranges from feisty to friendly. segundo point, Belle reads, but she's not interested in pagbaba encyclopedias or anything that might educate her (Shakespeare is so not educational). She reads adventure novels. Belle is smart, but she's not smart because she reads. And she's not nerdy because she reads either. Yeah, she's kind of a know-it-all and acts very condescending towards others at times, but most fanfiction authors stereotype Belle as a nerd. I'm not saying that Belle would be a good student, but the best students aren't quite as easily distracted as Belle as they focus mainly on their schoolwork and work very hard, unlike Belle who would be madami interested in the book she's currently reading. Oh, and Belle is definitely no stick-in-the-mud. She loves adventure, and she likes to have fun. Don't take a special character and turn her into a stereotype. I personality think that Belle has a little rebel inside of her. Just stick her in the right group and you'll see.

3) Aladdin is a notorious bad boy who is flunking in school

LOL. This one cracks me up, you know, because guys who donate their pagkain to homeless kids are totally badass. Aladdin is a thief, yes, but he'd mentioned many times that he steals to survive. He does appear to have fun stealing, but I'm sure there are ways to make him mischievous and fun without turning him into a total bad boy. Al lacks that mysterious vibe, the cockiness and the nonchalant attitude that makes a bad boy, and he can't be taken seriously as one. Now, as for the flunking thing? Aladdin is very smart. Pretty much every time he helps someone out, including himself, he uses his head madami than his puso or physical attributes. And he doesn't come across as lazy either. When Al needs to do something, he goes ahead and does it, and seems somewhat focused. He appears to have an analytical, mathematical brain, as seen when he saves himself and Abu from being crushed to death in the snow. I think Aladdin would be the kid who goofs off in class but surprises everybody with his impressive ulat card.
Note: This could probably apply to Jim, Flynn and Naveen too, but only to a certain extent. The only character who can really fit into the bad boy mould is the beast.

4) Ariel is a Mary Sue

Disney's most popular princess is, obviously, a common choice as the protagonist in high school AUs, and I can see why. She's the best pick for anybody who wants to write from the point of view of a typical teenage girl. Now, I'm not a tagahanga of Ariel, but she is so not a Mary Sue. Ariel may be very typical, and rather generic, but she is in no way portrayed as a Mary Sue. However, in fanfiction, Ariel comes across as a totally special, perfect girl who is constantly victimized and has to face countless challenges, none of which are her fault. Here's a Pagsulat tip for you: NOBODY LIKES A GOOD MARY SUE. Seriously, it's annoying and it needs to stop. The only thing worse than taking a normal character and turning them into a Mary Sue is a self-insert Mary Sue.

5) Shang is totally cool around girls

Not a lot of people are bothered sa pamamagitan ng this point because Shang isn't very noticeable in high school fanfictions. One of the coolest things about Shang is that he's so serious and intimidating around guys, but adorably awkward around girls. Writers, this is your chance to write about an interesting and challenging character, without the hard work and strain of coming up with him all sa pamamagitan ng yourself. Why change such a fun quirk in order to make Shang easier to write?

6) John Smith has no idea how to express himself

Another point that not many people would notice, but this seems to happen just as often as Mary Sue-Ariel does. "Pocahontas, look at me. I'd rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you." Remember that? Somehow, in fanfiction, John Smith is portrayed as an emotionless, unromantic robot who keeps all of his feelings bottled up because he's not sure how to ipakita Then. And not to mention his walang tiyak na layunin cheesy outbursts at the most convenient moments. Just.... no.

7) hasmin and Meg are the school sluts

Both of these girls have a sexy and seductive air about them, but they've both got exceptionally high standards in men. Meg had been hurt in the past, and she became guarded in order for that never to happen again. There is no way that Meg would be sleeping around, as she probably knows that she might get attached, and then hurt in the end. As for Jasmine? It's no wonder she's got guys lining up to marry her, but she's so mean and off-putting to most of them. Sure, Jas might be fun for one night, but this girl is a true romantic at heart. There's no way she'll fool around just for fun. Even though she flirted with and kissed Jafar, she only did that to distract him and to help Aladdin (although, im sure there was a better way to distract him). Both hasmin and Meg are very sexy, but are still classy. Let's keep it that way.

8) Every girl is boy-crazy

This may work for Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel, but Belle? How about Mulan or Tiana? Or worse, Merida? To have a crush on a guy is one thing, but to solely focus on him and act like a total fangirl around him is another. Most Disney heroines are very independent, and don't spend time swooning over their men. They handle romance maturely, madami often than not. In almost every high school fanfic, our heroines think only about their crushes, and behave in a needy way. Their main goal is to get the guy to notice them? Look, I'm not against romance, but haven't you seen most of these movies? It's possible to find pag-ibig without being totally boy-crazy. Take Tiana for example. She's so independent in her movie. She's not opposed to falling in pag-ibig but she's not needy, but fanfiction writers don't seem to realize the different between having a crush and being completely boy-crazy.

9) Ariel and Rapunzel are very shy

So you're using a believable (eh, believable enough) shy girl, Aurora, as the role of a narcissistic beeyotch, and now you're in need of a shy girl. Wait a minute... Ariel doesn't speak for half of her movie, Rapunzel was kind of timid when she left the tower, so let's just use them! Yay! Sunshine and mga rosas everywhere!
Sorry, but as a person who grew up shy, this one really bothers me. I think it's because of how easy it easy for Ariel and Rapunzel to be extremely shy one minute, in fanfiction that is, and totally outgoing the next. I know that a lot of people want to find a way to incorporate Ariel's losing of her voice into their stories, but sa pamamagitan ng making her shy, you're turning her into a completely different character. Ariel was somewhat outgoing, and her bubbly personality was portrayed very well in the movie when she Nawawala her voice. As for Rapunzel? Yes, she was a little jumpy at The Snuggly Duckling, but who wouldn't be? She was surrounded sa pamamagitan ng a bunch of gangsters, plus it was her first araw out of the tower. But Punzie quickly gained confidence and nalugod the thugs, as well as the townsfolk the susunod day. She seems very friendly and confident to me. Yes, she was anxious when she first left the tower, being both nervous and excited, but she was sa pamamagitan ng no means shy.

10) The couples are almost always canon

I like canon couples... well, some of them. But just because a couple is canon, it doesn't mean that they're all with the perfect person for them. The Disney characters (the ones in love) were paired with the person who was best for them in their respective movies, but now that there are madami options to choose from, why should their "choices" stay the same? Pocahontas wants a guy who doesn't take life too seriously? Try pairing her with Naveen. No chemistry? Break them up. These things happen in real life, so why not take a madami realistic approach to these stories?

Unfortunately, that's all I can think of right now, but I do hope I helped (and hopeful,y didn't hurt) fanfiction authors. If you enjoyed this article, look out for my eventually-to-come Disney Girls Who'd Make a Good Mean Girl in Fanfiction. Have a nice, magical day, friends!

Yes, my MBTI posts are back! I've studied the cognitive functions a lot madami so they'll be a little different. I have many other Disney MBTI posts ready on my link so I'll be posting madami soon.

Introverted Sensing (Si): Though Belle says she wants excitement and adventure, she never actually does anything about it. She stays in town, performing the same routine every day: go into town, get books, read them, do some chores around the house. It bores her, but it's what she knows and is comfortable with. Later, she eventually falls into the same routines, reading, taking walks, feeding the...

Hi guys, since I had done for Enya and Kenny G, here is another listahan of Disney princesses favourite Pop songs, only this time it is Westlife songs.

1) My Love

Snow White, Aurora and Sinderella will definitely sing to this to their respective princes. I absolutely fall in pag-ibig with this song, and the lyrics is perfect for the 3 princesses.

2) Obvious

Talking from Prince Eric's point of view, he first meets Ariel and she could not talk due to a deal with Ursula earlier on. Eric finds her obvious first until her voice came back at the end!

3) Soledad/ If I Let You Go

Again, talking from the Beast/...

Welcome to the results of the countdown for Which Disney Princess Has the Best Speaking Voice. This poll was so much fun to work on! Thanks to all the people who participated in it. I'm so sorry, but I decided to only chose three comments from every poll and try to fit any further opinions into my paragraphs. Also, I've shortened a few comments, because for some reason my mind really isn't comfortable with the longer comments. Now, without any further ado, let's look at the outcomes.

11. Snow White

Snow White went out very quickly, with users claiming that her voice is much too high to be likable....

 1.Blue tuktok and pants
1.Blue top and pants
We are going to a whole new world with you as we talk about Jasmines clothing in Aladdin. The Renaissance has shown us a wide range of different and much larger wardrobe than before and hasmin is no exception.

1.Blue tuktok and pants
Princess hasmin starts of in her palace on her own wearing a blue crop tuktok and thick blue pants with blue Flats ginto kuwintas and large earrings. The outfit is perfect for the time and place it's set. Her hair is either ponytailed with head band or fully loose. I prefer the headband and ponytails myself feels madami Arabian.
9/10

2.Brown cloth and brown overall
Not sure...

Here are the results of Countdown for The SCARIEST DP Villain. The listahan is a result of the countdown done sa pamamagitan ng fans. I tried to include at least one comment from everyone, to let the fans ipakita their opinions and I do apologize if I didn't include your's. I also added my own opinion to the descriptions, but it's just my opinion so feel free to disagree.

Enjoy!

11. Gov. Ratcliffe
I wasn't surprised to see Ratcliffe leave first. Personally I've never cared for him, he just seems like spoiled brat to me. But even his fans don't find him all that threatening.

He's madami like Hans. They both are...

Hello everyone. I'm just boring and suddenly I've got an idea to wrote my listahan of prettiest Disney Princesses. All of the Princesses have their own typical of beauty. But for sure I have some of favorites. Anyway, here's my prettiest DP list:

13. Snow White

Why her? She's the fairest of them all! Yes, she's the fairest of them all. But for me she is madami tend to cute than pretty. I don't really like the shapes of her small-sized brown eyes and her nose. Her face overally looks like porselana doll. In fact, she can be pretty but I'm just not a tagahanga of her animation styles. Her looks in DP...

Sorry it took me so long to finish this countdown. I just got lazy I guess haha. I did this countdown because while there have been multiple "Best Kiss" countdowns I have never seen the "Almost Kisses" get much appreciation. I think they are cute and suspenseful, so I thought I would give them the spotlight for once. Here are the results, compiled for your enjoyment. :)

9. Tiana and Naveen's 1st Almost Kiss

It's no surprise this halik left first. It's the only one here that isn't romantic in the slightest, since Tiana doesn't even want to halik him and she's only doing it to get her restaurant....

Since it's Valentine's araw soon I decided to write a few artikulo relating to that and I decided to do a listahan of my paborito DP Couples, fittingly enough the last time I did this listahan was around this time last year, since then my listahan has changed a slight bit. Hope you'll like this article

11. Mulan & Shang

Imo they're madami best mga kaibigan than a couple, their first meeting is hilarious though and I pag-ibig how Mulan isn't afraid to ipakita off her feelings for Shang in a subtle way and how Shang chose to not kill Mulan despite the fact that women wheren't allowed in the army, it shows that...

I know we've probably had an excess of these over the last few months, but I don't care. In my humble opinion, there can never be too many artikulo defending Walt's girls. I believe Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora just as much praise and recognition as any of the Modern or Renaissance princesses. The three classic Princesses receive a large amount of criticism. They include "weak", "passive", "need a man to save them", "boring", "do nothing", "need a man to save them", among others (that last reason is so incredibly stupid and sexist). These "arguments" are beyond cliché, mind-numbing,...

uy everyone! The classic Disney films had such a knack for capturing the splendor and wonder of magic so I thought I'd rate all the DP films to see which ones are the most magical.
For this, I took the 5 most likely elements of magic in the Disney Princess films and added 1 category for the awareness of each 6 elements. This is because the madami prominent magic would be in a story (or the world in the story), the madami people should be aware of the magic as it would be hard to miss. Here are the 12 put together:

1. Magical Powers- Meaning that magic can be done without the use of items (like wands)...

Hi everyone!

Recently, I posted a tanong asking fans to listahan five personality traits most desirable in a Disney princess. My traits poll, which was going to be the foundation of this article, was based on TheMusicalMolls' listahan of traits; the first response. I didn't bother to check my tanong again for other responses, but when I returned to my tanong after I posted the poll, I was surprised to see that madami fans had bothered to answer my question. At that point, it was only a handful of people, and since I found their lists highly similar to TheMusicalMolls', I let it be. I hope I didn't...

12. Princess and the frog:
I found the script to be very lazily written, with no wow moments to remember and no surprising twists. The movie crawled at deathly slow pace, making me skip scenes in between. The animation was pretty average with nothing memorable except a few scenes in bayou and death of Dr. Facilier. I found the sett ups to be unflattering and lacked the Disney magic feel to it. The best set-up from the entire movie was...
