Bonjour!
Today I am going to be telling you the original fairytales before Disney retold them. (They're not necessarily the first, original versions of the stories but they are dark ones). You might know most of these and that's cool, but in case you didn't, here they are. Please note I have done some research - I'm not just making it up.
This artikulo should probably be in the Disney Club, but the majority of these stories are Disney Princess and heroine stories. Besides, I like to get feedback and nice comments and I hardly ever get comments in the Disney club.
These aren't ranked or in a countdown, but, they are dark.
And some of them might shock you.
Peter Pan
We all know this movie is about a boy that takes 3 children on a trip to Neverland and share adventures with them as they try and conquer the evil pirate Captain Hook.
Now that's all very fun, however in the original story sa pamamagitan ng J M Barrie, Peter Pan would "thin out" the members of the Nawawala Boys when there was too many of them or when they grew too old. (In other words, he would murder them). Also, in the battle against the pirates, Peter would switch sides, fighting against the Nawawala Boys too. For no reason; just for fun.
Snow White
In the Disney version, the reyna "kills" Snow White sa pamamagitan ng feeding her a poisonous apple, Snow is awoken with Love's First Kiss, and the reyna falls off a cliff during a lighting storm and then crushed sa pamamagitan ng the boulder. (I would think, anyway, I don't know.)
In the original, the Evil reyna tries to kill Snow three times; the first sa pamamagitan ng tying a ribbon around her waist too tight, the segundo sa pamamagitan ng brushing a poisonous comb through her hair, the last is the poisonous apple, which succeeds to a point. The Prince, when he discovers her, does not halik her, but instead he likes the look of the girl's dead body so much he orders his men to take her body back to his kastilyo so he can gaze upon it or whatever. (Falling in pag-ibig with a dead body. Nice. Better than halik one I suppose.) One of the men carrying the coffin stumbles over a rock and and as that happens the piece of mansanas dislodges from Snow White's neck, waking her up. At the Prince and Snow White's wedding, the reyna is invited, and she is forced to dance in red hot iron shoes until she drops down dead. Great.
Sinderella
The movie Sinderella is similar to the stories, however the ending differs.
In a version of Sinderella (I'm not sure which version though), the stepsisters are not ugly, but beautiful with "black hearts". They cut off pieces of their feet in order to fit into the shoe. Jeez, they must really be desperate for that Prince. It's only when the Prince notices blood seeping from their shoe that he turns around and finds Cindy. As punishment, the sisters have their eyes pecked out sa pamamagitan ng birds.
The Little Mermaid
This probably isn't much of a surprise to most people. In the Disney movie, she makes a bargain with the sea witch for three days on land to fall in pag-ibig with her Prince. If she fails to do so, she belongs to the sea witch (Ursula).
In the story sa pamamagitan ng Hans Christian Andersen, the mermaid has her tongue cut out so she can't speak, and whenever it walks it feels like she's stepping on knives; causing her feet to bleed. She is found sa pamamagitan ng the Prince and enjoys his hospitality, but he falls in pag-ibig with another woman and marries her. The little mermaid's sisters cut off their hair in return for a kutsilyo and give it to their sister, explaining that if she were to kill the Prince and spill some of his blood on her legs, her legs will morph back into a tail and she can become a mermaid again. However the little mermaid cannot bring herself to commit the murder and instead throws herself out to sea where she turns to sea foam.
Pinocchio
I haven't seen this movie in a while but most people know it to be about a little wooden puppet owned sa pamamagitan ng Gepetto who must prove himself in order to become a real boy, which he succeeds at.
In the story, however, he does not succeed. He's hung from a puno sa pamamagitan ng a soro and a cat. Oh and sa pamamagitan ng the way, he KILLS JIMINY CRICKET. FOR FUN. That just ruined everything. Always let your conscience be your guide. UNLESS IT INVOLVES KILLING CRICKETS.
Beauty and the Beast
Belle the bookworm begs to take her father's place in a palace and befriends the beast, eventually falling in pag-ibig with him.
One of this story's original versions I actually know the name of: Little Broomsticks. In this one she has two stepsisters (Disney probably cut them out, because otherwise it would be similar to Cinderella.) When the Beast is turned back into a Prince, Beauty invites her sisters to live with her in the castle. Being so jealous of her, they drown her. Yeah. And then the same enchantress that turned the Prince into a Beast brings Beauty back to life and turns the sisters to stone. Woohoo.
Hercules
In the movie Hercules saves a town and Mount Olympus while find the pag-ibig of his life on his way to restore his godhood.
In the myth, he marries Princess Megara (if she was a princess in the story then how come she wasn't a princess in the Disney version? Was it because she was the bad guy? That's sad.) Yeah so anyway he marries Megara and they have two children.
He kills them.
And some texts say he killed Megara too.
Well that's great. She's my favourite heroine and turns out she's killed sa pamamagitan ng one of my favourite heroes. (Not to mention her own husband.)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
In the first five or so minutos of the Disney film, men are captured, a woman is killed and her baby is almost murdered. It might surprise you that the story (by Victor Hugo, who wrote Les Miserables, hint hint) is darker.
Frollo, for a start, stabs Phoebus in the back. Phoebus blames Esmeralda. Esmeralda is sentenced to execution, only to be saved at the last minuto by...
No one. She just dies.
And Quasimodo stays sa pamamagitan ng her body and dies too, of starvation.
Sleeping Beauty
This was the biggest shock for me and that is why it is last I suppose. Basically Sleeping Beauty is about a beautiful young woman who meets a prince, pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep, only to be awoken sa pamamagitan ng her handsome Prince, with a tame kiss.
Notice I sinabi the word "tame."
Basically the beautiful young woman (Tahlia as she is known) pricks her finger and falls asleep. A King passes sa pamamagitan ng and rapes her. I was REALLY angry about that when I found out. That is one of the most disgusting and despicable things anybody can do. For God's sake. Oh, and sa pamamagitan ng the way, she's still asleep, and while she's still asleep, she gives birth to the King's twins. Looking for milk, one of the mga sanggol suck the enchanted spindle from her finger, allowing her to wake up. Shortly, the King comes back, eager to have his way again (the monster) and Tahlia's fine with it. (Why?). The King goes back to his kingdom and the reyna finds out about Tahlia and her kids. She tries to have the mga sanggol cooked and eaten sa pamamagitan ng the King, and Tahlia burnt alive, but the King saves the araw and the reyna is burnt alive instead.
And they all live happily ever after after the rape, giving birth and attempted slaughter.
Hope you enjoyed. I'm guessing most of you knew some or all of these. Doesn't matter. Sorry if it ruined the happy endings. Gotta face the truth sometimes though.
Merci et au revoir!

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The buwan madami popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each buwan I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!
Once again, I will be using pictures for my articles. A few months back I would have made a detailed explanation about each result, but since the kamakailan changes, Fanpop has been pagganap really weird. And yes, I don't like the option of Pagsulat long paragraphs with text, while the pictured are all clustered in the bottom of the article! So under each picture I will be posting one comment, related to the result. So in case you don't want your comments posted in my articles, please contact me!
Here are the results of the POTM Songs Countdown: ~*Jasmine*~ (February 2013)! Enjoy and share your opinion!
