Okay so I have read multiple places on here that "Ariel just left her family for some guy she barely knew" and variations thereof. I coincidentally enough just watched this film within the last buwan and remember it very freshly so I would like to contribute my opinion on this matter. First though, I would like to remind people: These Disney Princess films do not take place in a modern time and setting. Most of them take place over a 100 years nakaraan and are during a time when most people were dead sa pamamagitan ng 40 and half weren't even making it that long. To put it in perspective, the equivalent of a woman 100 years nakaraan at the age of 13-18 is the equivalent of a woman today madami at the age of 18-30. This means women matured quicker, got married younger and dated/courted for a much shorter time, if at all, then now.

A. "She left her family for some guy...": First of all, it wasn't only for a guy as Ariel had long been wanting to sumali the surface but Eric was just the tipping point. Secondly, so what if it was just for a man? That is her future family. At some point most women will leave their childhood family to start a new family and that is a normal part of life for most people. But ultimately, she was willing to risk her life for pag-ibig and happiness because she knew exactly what she wanted. She recognized the importance of the future over the past and refused to be stuck in her present. (Though it should be noted that Ursula truly did manipulate and take advantage of Ariel's youth and naivety.)

1. Ariel had wanted to sumali the surface long before she saw Eric. She was constantly skipping events to go explore. As Sebastian says under his breath just before the konsiyerto near the beginning of the film "If only she'd ipakita up for rehearsals once in a while."

2. The first we see of Ariel, she is exploring and looking for human items which she collects.

BEFORE ERIC: "Wish I could be Part of that world What would I give If I could live Outta these waters? What would I pay To spend a araw Warm on the sand?"
BEFORE ERIC: "Wish I could be Part of that world What would I give If I could live Outta these waters? What would I pay To spend a araw Warm on the sand?"

3. When Ariel finds a fork in the sunken ship, neither her nor dapa have any idea what it is. When dapa asks her if she does know, she responds "I don't know, but I bet Scuttle will." This implies that she has A) gone to the surface before since Scuttle cant swim & B) she has brought him artifacts to identify before. Both of these things confirm her long-time desire for the human world.

"It's a dinglehopper. Humans use these little mga sanggol to straighten their hair out."
"It's a dinglehopper. Humans use these little mga sanggol to straighten their hair out."

4. It takes a lot of dedication to understanding (or joining) the human world to save a fork & pipe from a shark. She literally gets right in front of it's face to save this bag despite her large collection of other artifacts.

Even Sebastian realizes that Ariel would be miserable without pursuing her chance on land which is why he agrees to help her try to get Eric to fall in pag-ibig with her instead of telling on her to Triton immediately.
"If we could get that witch to give you back your voice, you could go tahanan with all the normal isda and just be... Just be... Just be miserable for the rest of your life. All right, all right. I'll try to help you find that prince."
"If we could get that witch to give you back your voice, you could go tahanan with all the normal isda and just be... Just be... Just be miserable for the rest of your life. All right, all right. I'll try to help you find that prince."

B. "Some guy she barely knew...": I don't know where people get this from at all. Ariel snuck up to the surface when she saw the fireworks and watched Eric for a LONG time before she rescues him and is separated sa pamamagitan ng him.

During this entire time of watching Eric, she learned many things about him:
Grimsby tells Eric that he got him a birthday present and Eric gives him a friendly slap and says "Ah, Grimsby, ya old beanpole, you shouldn't have." To which Grimsby ang sumagot with, "I know." but then gives a sly smile clearly ipinapakita the positive and somewhat close relationship between the two characters.

1. He plays an instrument and Ariel loves music.

2. He has a good sense of humor as he was joking with Grimsby, his butler.

3. He is not spoiled or selfish as he has a good relationship with his butler and does not talk down to him at all. He treats him almost like an equal. He even has a little nickname "Grim" for him ipinapakita Eric is not an uptight guy.
Grimsby reveals the statue to which Eric responds, "Uh, gee, Grim... Ha! (clears throat) It's, uh... It's really somethin'." not wanting to offend Grimsby.

4. He is not vain as he was not impressed sa pamamagitan ng the statue of himself.

Grimsby tells Eric that he had hoped the statue would be a wedding present. Eric laughs it off and responds, "Come on, Grim. Don't start. Look, you're not still sore because I didn't fall for the Princess of Glowerhaven, are you?"

5. He is picky with women which means he must value and respect women. He doesn't want to just settle for the "princess of Glowerhaven" or any other woman who is attractive. He wants to fall in pag-ibig with a woman that he can respect and cherish. ("Oh, she's out there somewhere. I just... I just haven't found her yet.")

6. He is hopeful. He believes that he will find the right girl and that he just hasn't found her "yet".

The storm hits...

7. Eric is not lazy or just some "pretty boy" as he immediately gets hands-on in trying to help secure the ship.

8. Eric is athletic & loyal & bravo as he jumps off the row bangka and swims back to the burning ship just to save his dog.

At this point, Ariel knows that Eric is handsome, has a sense of humor, is humble and easygoing, respects women, is hopeful and optimistic, is bravo and courageous, is loyal and athletic. At this point Ariel knows enough about Eric to know he is a great catch and lots of women would be intrigued sa pamamagitan ng a man who can be described the way Ariel can describe Eric here.

Ariel's Reprise Wakes Eric Up: "What would I give to live where you are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you smiling at me?"
Ariel's Reprise Wakes Eric Up: "What would I give to live where you are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you smiling at me?"

Now they separate, her father destroys everything she had of the human world and there is nothing for her to remember it by. Whether or not Triton was right or wrong is a separate issue. On point here, is the fact that she already had a innate tendency towards the human world, she met a human male who was a great catch (and she clearly hadn't fallen in pag-ibig with any mermen) and now she was encountered sa pamamagitan ng those predators out there in the world who wait for moments of weaknesses like this. Unbeknownst to Ariel, Ursula had been watching her and took this opportunity to manipulate her.

Quite a Manipulation Tactic: Eels Kicking Eric's Face Over to Ariel Was Completely on Purpose
Quite a Manipulation Tactic: Eels Kicking Eric's Face Over to Ariel Was Completely on Purpose

Ariel goes to Ursula and gets her legs and a chance to see if Eric would fall in pag-ibig with her and she gets to learn even madami about him than before!

9. Eric is not shallow and super loyal. He clearly thinks Ariel is beautiful as he remembers that the woman who saved him was beautiful. When he sees Ariel, he was playing her song on the flute hoping to see her again. When Ariel cannot speak, he assumes it must not have been her and wants to keep searching for his "mystery girl". (He assumes this since normally the voice would be a good way to match the girl.) Ariel's equal beauty wasn't enough to deter him from his loyalty.

"That voice. I can't get it out of my head. I've looked everwhere, Max. Where could she be?"
"That voice. I can't get it out of my head. I've looked everwhere, Max. Where could she be?"

Even after Ariel got legs and spent some time with Eric, he didn't want to let go of his "mystery girl". Poor Ariel had to compete with herself. It took 2 araw and nights together plus Grimsby's urging for Eric to even consider letting go of his dream and dating Ariel.

"Eric? If I may say, far better than any dream girl is one of flesh and blood, one warm and caring and right before your eyes."
"Eric? If I may say, far better than any dream girl is one of flesh and blood, one warm and caring and right before your eyes."

10. Eric is very kind and generous. He sees that Ariel must have been through quite an ordeal so he takes her to his palace for pagkain and shelter. He is incredibly respectful and polite to her the entire time.

11. Eric is light-hearted. As they are rowing out for a romantic bangka ride, Scuttle is killing the mood with his obnoxious yelling. Eric hears this and says jokingly to Ariel, "Wow. Somebody should find that poor animal and put it out of it's misery."

12. Eric is a perfect gentleman. He spends the entire araw catering to her and her desires. He takes her to see the puppets, takes her dancing and even lets her "drive" a carriage for the first time. Throughout the entire araw he doesn't even try to make a ilipat on her, he just spends time with her. Then when things do get madami romantic, he is still a perfect gentleman. He doesn't even want to try to halik Ariel without knowing her name first. Since she cannot speak, he actually tries to guess what her name is. He is really trying to be as accommodating to her and respectful as possible. Sure, part of it is shyness but that shyness stems from a place of morals.

"You know, I feel really bad not knowing your name. Maybe I could guess."
"You know, I feel really bad not knowing your name. Maybe I could guess."

13. Eric is just as passionate about his pag-ibig as Ariel is. As a human, he rows out into the ocean and swims down to try and take on the sea witch so as not to lose his dream girl. As he says to Grimsby while he is rowing out, "I already Nawawala her once. I'm not going to lose it again." He is also smart enough to use the ship in Ursula's self-created tornado/tsunami to kill her and save Ariel's life (as well as every other merperson who was captured sa pamamagitan ng Ursula as her spell was undone once she was dead).

14. Ariel's family didn't mind that she was in pag-ibig and wanted to leave them and ilipat on, they were concerned with her safety over him being a human. This is why her sisters and father were all happy for her when they realized she was in pag-ibig and why they were so quick to accept her marriage to Eric once he proved himself sa pamamagitan ng killing Ursula and Triton gave Ariel her legs so she could be with him.

"Oh, she's got it bad." "What? What has she got?" "Isn't it obvious, Daddy? Ariel's in love." "Ariel? In love?...Oh, who could the lucky merman be?"
"Oh, she's got it bad." "What? What has she got?" "Isn't it obvious, Daddy? Ariel's in love." "Ariel? In love?...Oh, who could the lucky merman be?"
With the pending release of two “Snow White” revamps, boasting Kristin Stewart and Lily Collins in the leading roles – I began to wonder: look-wise, who could fill the shoes of the other 9 princesses? And after exhausting Google image, I’ve found my answer. These celebrity-princess doppelgangers share madami than merely eye and hair colour; in fact, many are practically identical. Give their faces and features madami than a quick glance and I promise you’ll agree.

Disney has enchanted us for decades with its beautiful, pag-awit heroines.
Disney has enchanted us for decades with its beautiful, singing heroines.
As many of us know, Disney Princesses are not always viewed in a positive light. Some people believe them to be passive, codependent damsels in distress. But is this really true? Or does each Princess offer a kind of strength in her own way? Here, I have carefully ranked the princesses in terms of being good role mga model for young girls. We'll start at the bottom of the listahan so we can work our way towards, in my opinion, Disney Princess' best role model. I have spoken to plenty of parents to make sure that I have diverse research and opinions.

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a lovely and beautiful lady as his wife. They had one daughter only and her name was Cinderella, who was very dutiful to her parents. But while she was still very young, her mamma died, to the grief of her husband and daughter. After a time, the little girl’s papa married another lady. This lady was evil and haughty, and had two ugly grown-up daughters as disagreeable as herself; so the poor girl found everything at tahanan changed for the worse.

But she bore all her troubles with patience and grace, not even complaining to her father, and, in spite...

Hi!
I'm a huge tagahanga of Rick Riordan's books, and I thought this would be an interesting idea! First of all, let me explain you a bit: there are 20 cabins in Camp Half-Blood, each of them belongs to a god, and their demigod children live in their respective cabins. For example, Percy Jackson belongs in cabin #3 because he's a son of Poseidon, and Annabeth Chase belongs to cabin #6 since her mother is Athena. The 20 cabins are:
#1 – Zeus (king of the gods)
#2 – Hera (goddess of marriage and fidelity)
#3 – Poseidon (god of the sea)
#4 – Demeter (goddess of nature)
#5 – Ares (god of war)
#6 –...

Ranking the Disney princess eyes
Eyes are considered to be windows to the soul. Eyes are the most important facial feature. They beautify your face and are a beauty trademark to be admired if beautiful. I have aquamarine eyes which I spend time examining them and stare at many other people’s eyes. I decided to rank Disney princesses sa pamamagitan ng their eyes. And it is unique that I prefer big, wide eyes than small, tiny ones.

15. Mulan’s eyes

I don’t think she’s pretty, and I don’t like her eyes also. They are the least beautiful of other Disney princess eyes. They are angled up, almost the V-shape....

Hi everyone, I just watched Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera just now. While watching, I noticed some similarities with Beauty and the Beast! Here are my observations.

The Story-line

As you may know, both stories are set in France, it also has a sad theme in it as it deals with a deformed person name Erik who wishes to be love. Ironically, the may-akda of The Phantom of the Opera is sa pamamagitan ng Gaston Leroux, who happens to be the namesake villain of Disney's retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The rose also plays a symbolic role in both stories.
Secondly, the Stranger Than You Dream It scene...

I haven't done a ranking in a while, so here ya go. This artikulo is dedicated to the amazing animators of Disney who gave us wonderful character designs and, sadly, unrealistic hair expectations! (*cries because my hair will never be as cool as DP hair*)

That being said, although every princess has beautiful hair, some manes are better than others. This is my opinion of their hairstyles, ranked worst to best.

12. Tiana

I find Tiana's hairstyles quite disappointing. As the first black princess, and being absolutely gorgeous at that, the animators could have done lots of cool things with letting...

About me: I'm an only child with two loving parents. I'm looked after and sheltered (spoiled). I'm loyal to my friends. I'm the diplomat of the family. I don't take sides, I'm neutral. Online I have my own opinions but they're not set in stone. I have an interest or curiosity for knowledge about DP and other fandom or cultural topics, I...

Since it's Halloween soon I decided to write a few artikulo relating to that, they're actually pretty much the same, this one is about the scariest moment in each DP Movie, the other one will be my tuktok 5 or tuktok 10 Scariest DP Movie Moments, haven't decided yet which one I'll do, but I'm leaning towards tuktok 5 at the current moment. Anyway so I hope you'll enjoy this article

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs: The Forest Scene

It's feels kind of strange to start off this artikulo with imo probably the scariest animated moment and one of the scariest movie moments (I don't like horror movies),...

So I really, really, really pag-ibig the Disney Princess dance sequences, particularly with the waltz, as I find it to be so sweepingly romantic! The animation of the dance, the way the dress twirls with the women, the romantic and powerful score in the background, the gorgeous scenery in the background and the usually gorgeous dress worn sa pamamagitan ng the princess... I pag-ibig everything about these sequences! That's not to mention the ipakita of romantic pag-ibig developing. I am very much an old soul so I really pag-ibig the process of "courting" which often included the man taking the woman out to dance or dancing...

So yesterday I wrote about my paborito songs, today I'll write about the 10 best scenes, originally I was planning on only doing a tuktok 5, but I felt that it was too little so I decided to do a tuktok 10 list, like with the songs I pag-ibig all the scenes in the movie so placing them wasn't so easy, but I hope you'll like this artikulo anyway

10. The Funeral Scene

This scene is so sad yet so beautifully animated and I couldn't resist putting this one on here since I Nawawala my grandmother just a few days ago, but even before that this has been one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie aswell as...

This is a series I'm starting, I did some research, I'm not gonna say I was 100% thorough, and tried my best with each princess. Some of them were easy, some were harder than others. I won't talk about Anna and Elsa because 1. I hate to say it but it's hard to pin Elsa anywhere and 2. The less princesses to write about, the easier for me. Let's go.

Snow White-Earth
She was difficult because she shows aspect of water, apoy and earth. Ultimately I went with the latter, Snow White is motherly, practical and the most grounded classic princess. She's doesn't have her mind in the clouds as much....
