Hi everyone! Due to most of my mga kaibigan getting a nasty cold this weekend and not being able to hang out, I spent the last few days shored up inside, watching the DP sequels that I hadn't yet seen and re-watching those that I didn't remember well. I was pleasantly surprised to find some "diamonds in the rough" that I wasn't expecting, but unfortunately also had to suffer through a few incredibly cringe-inducing films. I didn't include Belle's Tales of Friendship in this list, mostly because I couldn't find it online anywhere, but also because it's partly live-action so I didn't feel like it fit very well here. I also split Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams in half because I felt wildly different about the two stories it contained, and as such I had trouble ranking the film as a whole. I will be comparing the quality of the sequels to both their original films and the other sequels on the list. So without further ado, here are my opinions on the sequels, prequels, and shorts of our beloved Disney Princess movies!

14. Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World
Oh dear, where do I start? This movie is, in my opinion, a disgrace susunod to it's predecessor, which is saying something since I'm not a huge tagahanga of Pocahontas. The animation is bad even sa pamamagitan ng sequel standards, but when compared to the original film - one of the best animated DP films - it's hardly even worth looking at. The music is forgettable. (Seriously, I don't remember a single song from this movie.) John Smith's character is completely Nawawala beneath the terrible puns he keeps making for some strange reason. The plot is all right I guess, but it seemed like they were just trying to take the story of the first movie and make it madami historically accurate, but even that they didn't do well! This movie just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Pretty sure my face looked like Nakoma's throughout the whole movie.
Pretty sure my face looked like Nakoma's throughout the whole movie.

13. Sinderella II: Dreams Come True
The soundtrack to this movie is what drags it so low on my list. The terrible pop songs accosted my ears to the point where I was tempted to mute the video, and they weren't even sung sa pamamagitan ng Cinderella! They were just kind of there, which was weird. The animation was mediocre, and pangkalahatang not as dreamy as the original. (I did pag-ibig a few of Cinderella's dresses, however.) The stories were kind of cute, though I wasn't too fond of the one about Jaq, and while I enjoyed Anastasia getting a bit of redemption Sinderella III certainly accomplishes that much better. Cinderella is one of my least paborito DP movies, but this one is even worse.
 I agree Prudence, I agree.
I agree Prudence, I agree.

12. The Return of Jafar
There's not much I can say about this movie. pangkalahatang it was forgettable. Iago is one of my least paborito characters from Aladdin, so the fact that this movie focuses on him probably drags it lower than it otherwise would have been. The songs are rather nice (except for when Iago is singing), but the animation is awful compared to the original. The mga kulay seem madami muted - for example hasmin has Nawawala her lovely red lips, now becoming a drab dark brown - and it's incredibly inconsistent. This movie feels like a very unnecessary addition to the Aladdin franchise.
Wtf Aladdin, you didn't even have a good reason to lie this time.
Wtf Aladdin, you didn't even have a good reason to lie this time.

11. Mulan II
This movie was a little difficult to place because there are a few things I really pag-ibig about it, as well as a few things I really hate about it. Mulan's silent vigil when she thinks Shang is dead is beautiful, and the movie from there on out is fantastic. I loved what she was willing to sacrifice for her country. However, the first part of the movie seemed really kitschy, and I hated Mushu's role. I despised his character during the film. The animation was all right, though certainly not as good as the original, and the songs were passable. It was an ok movie, but definitely not one of my favorites.
My reaction to Mushu's actions. Also Shang's face. LOOK AT IT. XD
My reaction to Mushu's actions. Also Shang's face. LOOK AT IT. XD

10. Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World
Everything about this movie was meh. That's honestly about all I can say. I didn't particularly pag-ibig anything about it, but I didn't particularly hate anything about it either. The animation was below average as sequels go, as was the soundtrack. The characters' personalities seemed rather inconsistent, but not terrible. So... yeah. :-/
 Didney Worl?

9. Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams
Keys to the Kingdom
Now we're getting into the pelikula I actually kind of enjoyed. This story was cute, to say the least. I liked getting to know Aurora a little better, even if her character did seem a little off from the original, and it had a good moral behind it. It even included a few laughs! The biggest let-down of this movie was the profound lack of Mary Costa's beautiful, ethereal, operatic pag-awit voice, which no one can beat in my opinion. Otherwise it was nice.
 Aw, how studious!
Aw, how studious!

8. Aladdin and the King of Thieves
This was a fun movie with a really great premise behind it. The soundtrack was quite good, and the plot was a real adventure. The animation is unfortunately in the same state it was in The Return of Jafar, but that's one of only two issues I have with it. (Also the fact that hasmin sports some really lovely outfits partially makes up for this.) My one other issue is that Cassim just doesn't seem ruthless enough to keep his pamagat as "King of Thieves." I mean, this is a group where you literally have to murder someone to become a part of it, but as soon as Aladdin turns up he's all chummy and fatherly. He even shows Aladdin the secret room that contains proof that the Hand of Midas exists, even though all he knows about him is that he's his son! It just seems kinda weird, and that's one of the reasons this movie isn't higher on the list.
 A true "family adventure," hehe.
A true "family adventure," hehe.

7. Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
I remember watching this movie years nakaraan and hating it, but I re-watched it for this artikulo and was surprised to find that I enjoyed it. The animation is really good, at least as far as sequels go, and I really loved the different, artistic animation when Belle sang Stories. The characters stay true to how they were in the original for the most part, and the songs are mostly enjoyable too. The plot was pretty nice, and the villain's motives were intriguing. My main issue with it is that Forte is a completely new character that was never mentioned in the original movie. I can understand new side characters being introduced, but a new main character? It's a little out of left field, especially considering how he's supposed to be the Beast's "best friend." Also his CGI animation really clashes with the rest of the film. However, those things aside I quite enjoyed it.
No fair I want to stand on a dragon.
No fair I want to stand on a dragon.

6. The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea
I'll admit that I'm a little biased when it comes to this movie since it was one that I owned when I was little (I'm pretty sure I've still got the VHS lying around somewhere), though I never loved it as much as I loved The Little Mermaid. I enjoy Melody's character disensyo and personality, and can relate to her a lot better than I could ever relate to Ariel. The issue with this sequel is, of course, the fact that it's basically a re-hashing of the original movie, except instead of a mermaid wanting to be a girl it's a girl wanting to be a mermaid. Wow, super original Disney. If it weren't for this redundancy the movie would be in my tuktok five. I pag-ibig some of the songs in this movie, and the animation's not half bad. I also really like that there's a walrus side character. I have a soft spot for walruses. :3
Narwhals, narwhals swimmin' in the ocean, causin' a commotion, 'cause they are so awesome!
Narwhals, narwhals swimmin' in the ocean, causin' a commotion, 'cause they are so awesome!

5. Gusot Ever After
This is a truly hilarious short. It never fails to make me laugh! The animation is just as gorgeous as the original, and Maximus and Pascal are their enjoyable selves. My only critique is that I wish it focused madami on Rapunzel and Eugene. I want to know how their lives are going after the ending of the original film!
 THE KINGDOM IS LOST!!!
THE KINGDOM IS LOST!!!

4. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
I'd never seen this movie before yesterday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The animation was really good, the music was great, and the story was touching, although the villain was a little lackluster. It was wonderful getting to learn about Athena since she's hardly mentioned in the other movies. It was also nice to get to know Ariel's sisters better. My one real issue with the movie is that Ariel's fascination with the human world is never shown. The closest they get is her saying "I don't belong here." It almost makes her seem like a different character, which is why this movie isn't in my tuktok three.
 Dat underwater conga line tho.
Dat underwater conga line tho.

3. nagyelo Fever
Jeez Disney, can you not let this franchise die?? No, of course you can't. Silly me. Aside from the fact that I'm incredibly tired of Frozen, this short was... actually surprisingly enjoyable. If I ignore Elsa's strange and unexplained dress-making powers, the rest of it is almost perfect! I pag-ibig that it gives Elsa and Anna equal amounts of attention, and that it shows Elsa actively trying to make up for everything she'd done to Anna - something that was sorely lacking in Frozen. The song's not great, but it's passable (although Kristoff's "I pag-ibig YOU BAYBAAAYYY!!!" certainly made me cringe), and the animation is of course beautiful. It is both funny and touching, and Elsa's sneeze snowmen were a really cute idea. The first time I saw it I wasn't too fond of it, but it has grown on me quite a bit since I watched it again. I enjoy Frozen Fever far madami than I enjoy Frozen.
Finally letting others take care of you, I see. Took ya long enough Elsa.
Finally letting others take care of you, I see. Took ya long enough Elsa.

2. Sinderella III: A Twist in Time
This was another movie that I'd never seen before yesterday. I'd heard that it was good, but wasn't prepared for just how good it would be. The animation is beautiful, the songs are awesome, AND GUYS THE PRINCE ACTUALLY HAS A PERSONALITY. :D I pag-ibig both Cinderella's and Anastasia's respective development, and I was so glad to see Sinderella take a madami active role in the film. The only critique I could give it is that the segundo half of the movie seems to be madami about the Prince than it is about Cinderella. Other than that, this movie is great. I would even go so far as to say that it is better than the original Cinderella.
Yes, jumping head first out the window is definitely sounding like a good idea right now.

1. Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams
More than a Peacock Princess
Surprise, surprise! I LOVED THIS STORY! I was not expecting much when I clicked play on DP Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams, but boy was I in for a treat. Though the animation was mediocre, that's really the only critique I can give it. The songs were great (I've Got My Eyes on You actually gave me chills), and I loved that they had a very Middle Eastern feel. The story was phenomenal. Jasmine's actions were exactly the side of her personality that I wanted to see in Aladdin but never got to. You could tell it was there, however since she wasn't the main character she didn't get the chance to showcase it. But Aladdin isn't around to steal the ipakita in this story, and hasmin has room to be her intelligent, courageous self. I also loved the inclusion of a bit of her mother's past. It was a very touching thing to add, and made Jasmine's triumph all the madami meaningful. I like this story way madami than the original movie. 10/10 would watch again.
Oh, you know, just taking my mother's untameable horse out for a ride. No biggie.

Before I wrote this artikulo I was under the impression that not a single DP sequel/prequel/short could be better than it's original movie. Turns out I was wrong! Pagsulat this artikulo made me realize that there are a few forgotten gems out there hiding under the guise of a second-rate sequel. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think in the comments. :)
Hi all! Just so you know, I've catered this artikulo to 2013 - er, 2014 - in America, where I happen to live. So here it goes! (And when I say 'survival' I don't mean of the morbid sort, I mean it as their general well being and success in the world)

Snow White: With her kindness, I'm willing to bet that Snow could make it up to about high school, but after that, her naievity (sp?) and trusting nature could betray her in finding both romantic and business relationships that will help her. While she's good at making friends, it's a guarantee that not everyone would be as accepting as the dwarves....

As we all know, the Disney Princesses are all blessed with amazing voices. But of these voices, who do I like best? I thought I'd share with you the answer!

13. Merida

Er, she doesn't sing. Right.

12. Belle

Her voice has its lovely patches, but something about how it titters on the high notes annoys me. Her voice also isn't very distinguishable, which lands it at 12.

11. Cinderella

Ah, I pag-ibig Cindy's voice! It's so relaxing, and, and, *snore*. Whoa, sorry! Anyway, Sinderella has a dreamy and romantic voice, but there's just not much opportunity for her to ipakita it off in the course of the film. So...

Here's my review of nagyelo which I saw last Friday online so of course the quality of the movie wasn't amazing, but it didn't stop me from watching it. This is actually my first review so comments are appreciated. And don't worry those of you of you who haven't seen the movie yet, this review won't contain any spoilers

Story - 10/10

I had high hopes for the story to be good and it was really good. The Snow reyna was one of my paborito fairytales when I was a child and this movie was a great twist on the classic fairytale. The story is not very complex, but also not too obvious. Like many...

Welcome to another Silverrose1991's favorites countdown. Today we will be reviewing Cinderella's outfits. Silverrose1991 would like to remind you that all characters mentioned in this artikulo are owned sa pamamagitan ng Disney and all outfits in this countdown can be found in Walt Disney's Cinderella.

Let's get started.

6. Light blue nightgown

This outfit is cute and lady-like, but old-fashioned. I'm pretty sure Lady Tremaine just gave Sinderella the worst nightgown in the house to wear, so it musn't be very comfortable, either. I like the neckline with the bow and the color isn't all that bad, but dull.

Nightgowns: Great for twirling around Sinderella style!...

I have been on here for a while but this is my first article. I am a big tagahanga of Disney , especially the princesses.I enjoyed all the new princess pelikula and was happy ever since Princess and the Frog. However Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and bravo I sat there enjoying it but thinking this is nothing compared to the pelikula of my childhood and would never tuktok my favourites Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. I thought maybe it was because I am not a child any madami and I am not growing up with these new movies. However when I saw nagyelo I automatically fell in pag-ibig with the...

This is the fourth of a set of reviews and analyses that I will be doing on each Disney Princess movie. I will try to be as unbiased and analytical as possible. I watch the movie so that it is fresh in my mind, and review 10 categories: the princess, the prince, the couple, the villain, other characters, the plot, animation, songs, score, and mood. I then give each category a score out of 10, then the movie as a whole receives a total score out of 100. All categories contribute equally to the final score.

I've been wanted to do this artikulo for a while, but I've just been procrastinating a bunch lately. I really do think that all of the Disney Princesses have great voices, so this listahan was very hard to come up with! Note: I'm sorry if these descriptions are really short, but it's kinda hard describing voices.

10. Ariel

It seems that you either have her high on your list, or low, and for me, it's low. She's got a great voice, but I do agree that she does sound nasally when she sings. Her voice just doesn't have that mystical, mysterious sound that I feel mga sirena should have.

I always put looks for the princesses, because I believe that a person's outside look affects much on impressions. So, not being biased but she is my prettiest Disney Princess. I had a hard time deciding how I should put the title. So, in case my pamagat looks messed up, this is basically my listahan of favourite foreign Disney Princess pag-awit voices. I chose the best foreign dubbing for each Princess IMO and put them in a list. Also, as Merida doesn't sing she is not included. This is only my opinion, so of course everyone will have different placings. But please don't be rude about my choices. Enjoy! :)

I also decided to update this listahan so that Merida could be included.

I was in school the other araw and me and my mga kaibigan were talking about Disney Princesses at lunch. This one person who I don't particularly like decided to become part of the conversation. She said, and I quote, "I'm not going to let my daughters, if I have any, watch those movies. They're such bad role models. The only ones they'll be allowed to watch are bravo and Mulan because they need to be strong young women." And after that I just left the conversation.

Current 11th: Sinderella (Formerly 8th)
Well, she was eighth in my listahan that I posted, but then I switched Aurora with her and she became 9th sa pamamagitan ng the time I posted that screwed-up poll. But now here she is, dead last. 11. Mulan
There are two placements that hasn't changed, this one and my prettiest, but I'm pretty sure that she might switch place with my number 10 someday in the future, maybe my number 9 too, but I'll have to look through the Mulan screencaps to have a clear opinion on that.

I think all DPs are pretty and so my listahan has always been just big mess and I have never really made clear listahan before. I'm not brilliant beauty reviewer and it's often hard to explain why someone is prettier than other. DPs case drawing also influenced my choices, I think it was quite good measure when I wasn't sure about order. When I draw it's easier to compare different features and normally it's also madami fun to draw beautiful characters.

First, this is my opinion's and I know they're not that popular, but try to respect them, and two, I pag-ibig all the princesses, so even number 11 has a special place in my heart. Anyway let's get started.

11. Merida

Sigh, I honestly don't want to put Merida here, because I pag-ibig her so much. Sadly, I just can't put her any higher. I actually really like her spunky personality and her pag-ibig for her family. I find her relationship with her dad...

My paborito Princess is Rapunzel. I just really pag-ibig her optimistic attitude, and she's always so happy. We're a lot alike in our personalities. Apart from the color and how gorgeous the hair looks when it blows in the wind I don't like her hair, why? Because it looks like paper since it's so thin and I hate hair that looks like paper. But I don't hate Pocahontas' hair since she actually has one hairstyle that I pag-ibig and that's the braided hair which we don't see for so long in the movie, but compared to the loose hair I much prefer that hairstyle even though she looks older with that hairstyle.
