The first Disney Princess Movie I watched was Sleeping Beauty when I was a little girl. I liked Aurora, Phillip and the fairy sequences but when Maleficent came on I got bored and hid behind the settee. Causing my mum to think I was scared of Maleficent. My mum wondered if I wanted it to be turned off. I sinabi no. I sat on the settee and watched the ending, which I loved.

I think I then saw the Princess pelikula in this order - I definitely saw either The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast at the cinema for the segundo release but I can't remember which one:
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Sinderella (I saw this one at school)
4. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (I watched this on TV but only caught Act 2 from the turning into a hag sequence and onwards).

As for Jasmine, I knew her name but I didn't know anything else about her. I once got a Happy Meal figurine toy of Jasmine. I wasn't bothered in her. Back then as you can imagine it all about the pretty colours, the pantasiya and the dresses. The figurine wasn't wearing a dress and I really wanted a specific figurine: Belle.

Back then my favourite princesses were.

1. Ariel
2. Belle
3. Aurora
4. Snow White
5. Cinderella
6. Jasmine
7. Pocahontas

Whilst Ariel was my favourite, the movie made me very curious about her sisters. One sister in particular caught my eye because her mermaid tail and tiara were pink, Alana. Since then Alana has been my favourite mermaid sister. Sometimes she replaced Ariel at tuktok position in my favourite Daughters of Triton list.

I was stubborn about seeing Aladdin in the beginning because I thought it was a boys movie. My mum sinabi "No it's not. You'll enjoy it." I let her buy me it and yep she was right and then afterwards we got The Return of Jafar on video as well. I don't think I had the third movie on vhs though.

I remember going to the newsagent tindahan and seeing a Little Mermaid comic and an Aladdin comic. I quickly became a collector of The Little Mermaid comics (1995). I found out later these comics were only released in the UK. I tried pagbaba the stories in an Aladdin comic once but I got bored very easily because as we know there's only girl (Jasmine) among five boys (Genie, Aladdin, Abu, Carpet and Iago) and the stories didn't always include Jasmine. I might have hoped that despite the pamagat it was less about the boys and madami about Jasmine. But that wasn't the case.

At some point I saw the Disney Stage ipakita of Beauty and Beast. It was great!

I didn't know Pocahontas was a Princess back then. I also didn't know anything about her other than her name. I once wanted a small Disney toy playset house that was the same size as a Polly Pocket house. I should have picked the Sinderella one. But for a change I picked Pocahontas' 'house. That was a waste of money. I didn't play with it and Pocahontas dress was plain and boring.

At some point I bought Snow White on video because like I said, I hadn't seen all of the movie. I watched it and I liked it. I also watched the tv shows of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin on Saturday mornings or on VHS.

When I was a young preteen I had phases where I thought Snow White, Ariel and Sinderella were overrated. Not just the Disney versions. The story of Snow White was very popular and could be found as a plot device in any child's tv ipakita or movie. At least once or twice, I disliked the overuse of Snow White and decided I didn't like Disney's Snow White either. I liked Sinderella for the beautiful different interpretations of the ballgown in art, non-disney mga manika and Ladybird book pictures. With Disney's Cinderella, I didn't like her as much as her sidekicks the mice who got the most screen time. The making of dress was my favourite scene though because I loved the kulay-rosas dress madami than her magical ballgown and the scene also included a lot of female mice. Eventually I went off Sinderella and couldn't stand this piece of art that had been painted on to a plate and had a crystal shaped glass slipper at the bottom of the stairs. The plate was hung on my bedroom wall, I don't know who the artist was. Back in araw I used to pag-ibig the kulay-rosas glowing ballgown she was wearing, it was dreamy and floaty. Oh and this wasn't a painting of Disney's Cinderella.

Ariel becoming overrated to me had nothing to do with her personally. It was to do with my childhood friend. It's understandable right when a group of people over-obsess about a specific princess which leads you to disliking that princess? Well what if you cut down those numbers to one person only, would it still be understandable? My childhood friend's obsession with Ariel bothered me and then I decided she was no longer my favourite.

When I was a teenager at some point I watched Pocahontas. I wasn't sure about it because apart from the spiritual parts there wasn't actual magic. I loved the beauty of the river, waterfalls, rainbow, amazing sunset and the visuals in the songs: Listen to your puso II, Just Around the Riverbend and Colours of the Wind. A few days later I learnt about Pocahontas in school. It was a bit of shock to find out she was real person. I think we watched a video about her and I suddenly had madami respect Disney's version.

I decided to watch Mulan soon after that. I liked her and her family but I didn't like the battle scenes and wished there was magic, other than the bird. I didn't like Shang.

When I was in my late teens I saw the sequels that I hadn't seen yet. Pocahontas 2 and Mulan 2. I liked Mulan 2 madami than Pocahontas 2. It was the soundtrack that did it. I really really liked the songs: "Lesson Number One" and "Like other Girls", they were catchy fun songs.

Eventually I bought the Aladdin trilogy on dvd and finally the third film. And that's when hasmin became my favourite princess. So from then on my listahan looked like this:

1. Jasmine
2. Mulan
3. Pocahontas
4. Aurora
5. Belle
6. Ariel
7. Snow White
8. Cinderella

This is what my listahan looked like when I first joined Fanpop. I joined Fanpop in 2010, when I was 25 years old.

In the early days when the subject of most overrated Princess came up I would always say Belle and Cinderella. Maybe because their popularity on Fanpop was overwhelming. When asked in early days who my favourite Princesses were in order. I would struggle with an answer. hasmin of course was always the first one. But I couldn’t relate to her, Mulan or Pocahontas and yet they were my favourites. On relation I felt like I could relate to Belle and Ariel. And I still had a soft for Aurora.

So you could say my listahan looked like this:

Jasmine
Ariel
Belle
Aurora
Mulan
Pocahontas
Snow White
Sinderella
You can only keep nostalgia away for so long. Eventually it will return and it did.

My first ever artikulo was a Prettiest Princess list. I can’t remember all of the placements but I do know the Jasmine, Aurora and Belle were in the tuktok three somewhere.

Fanpop was the first pagtitip. - Disney wise to hold such strong opinions both positive and negative. I saw some really negative opinions and thought if they can get away with that maybe I can too. I decided to give it a go! Bad idea! I wrote a tuktok Princess article. I was harsh with Snow White but people agreed with me. I called Sinderella a gold-digger which sparked a gigantic argument as you can imagine. I wasn’t prepared for an outburst like that.

I didn’t realise back then that in order for people to respect your strong opinions, you need to write it in a non-hostile tone and write it like an essay and analyse the character even if you don’t like the character. I remember analysing hasmin who came first of course. Although people were confused about how I could like the character and also analyse her in a semi-negative way at the same time. And it’s simply because I like researching different opinions and cultural aspects. I once read a true story about an Arabian Princess which gave insight into her cultural royal family and about who ran the ipakita and stuff. It made me think about hasmin and the sexist undertones in terms of power that she might have been facing behind the scenes. Anyway the argument caused me to feel very upset and sorry so I took it down, out of sight and out of mind.

Eventually I saw The Princess and the Frog, I’d say two years after it was released on dvd. And then got Gusot on dvd. I enjoyed The Princess and the Frog in terms of characters but not every single character and the frog scenes bored me. I didn’t like the soundtrack either. Naveen’s looks were amazing but his voice was too deep. I can’t take him seriously.

I enjoyed Gusot and the ending made me cry. Which is always a good sign. There's something that bothered me about Rapunzel though. I thought she too excitable and it didn't fit a sheltered character. That and I read a review which influenced me to think the same thing. A girl sinabi she someone who was in a similar situation to Rapunzel but it took months and years to build her confidence to break her shell and control her anxiety of the outside world. And so Rapunzel was always in the middle of my lists. I couldn't dislike her though because she was the perfect best of both worlds crossover princess of the classic princesses and the adventurous Renaissance princesses. That and she was pretty with a gorgeous purple dress. I was grasping at straws trying find reasons why I I didn't like her. In my head I was speechless. And so I kept thinking my reasons for disliking her were a bit petty.

I tried watching her tv series and couldn't get into it. I much prefer the ending dialogue of the original movie. And I also enjoyed Gusot Ever After.

But there was another battle going on in my head and that was 2D vs 3D, the 2D princesses were pushing back hard. I prefer 2D pelikula to 3D. I pag-ibig the details that go into the artwork of 2 dimensional animation.

When bravo came out I saw it at the cinema. I enjoyed it but I thought it was rude in places and Lords/Kings of different tribes were stereotyped and when they started fighting, it came across as sexist to men. On the bright side I thought Merida was a breath of fresh air. bravo was the first 3D movie that was amazing in backgrounds. I liked the gothic look with the mists and beautiful woodland.

When the remakes came out I saw Maleficent but I couldn't get into it. I saw Sinderella and loved it! Beauty and the Beast was terrible in my opinion. Which made Belle's middle ranking go right down to the bottom of the list! Now this susunod one has story with it. I fell out of pag-ibig with Jasmine, a few years and a few months before Aladdin was released. I couldn't think straight and had an indecision about who would take her place as number one on my favourite princess list. So I just chose one, which happened to be Aurora, simply because I was obsessed with her physical appearance, princess dresses and mysterious nature. She was my favourite classic princess. So it made sense. It raised an eyebrow or two with a few fans on fanpop. I don’t think they could believe it. hasmin was the only Princess I had high praise for. I never really gave anyone the sense that I liked anyone else. I remember putting Aurora down for one of the "Meet the Princess Fans" articles. That was disaster! LavenderGolden completely ignored that I was under Aurora's fans and stated my favourite princess was Jasmine!

Anyway in Autumn/Winter of 2019-Autumn 2020, I threw the listahan out completely! Deciding I liked them all equally. I had seasonal favourites only. So when each season changed the assigned Seasonal themed Princess would be my favourite or in terms of Rapunzel, every May month. This is thanks to Swanpride's calendar that she made for us once. I can't remember when she showed us it exactly but Rapunzel was against May and that made me happy. Lot's and lot's of purple!

in 2021, I started wanting a favourites listahan again but I wasn't in the mood to make one until I rewatched all of the films in September.

I'm have a listahan in the making, which I'm still writing. It's coming soon!

My current listahan of Favourite Princesses is a bit shocking as you will find out in the susunod article!

Hello everyone. I'm just boring and suddenly I've got an idea to wrote my listahan of prettiest Disney Princesses. All of the Princesses have their own typical of beauty. But for sure I have some of favorites. Anyway, here's my prettiest DP list:

13. Snow White

Why her? She's the fairest of them all! Yes, she's the fairest of them all. But for me she is madami tend to cute than pretty. I don't really like the shapes of her small-sized brown eyes and her nose. Her face overally looks like porselana doll. In fact, she can be pretty but I'm just not a tagahanga of her animation styles. Her looks in DP...

Since it's Valentine's araw soon I decided to write a few artikulo relating to that and I decided to do a listahan of my paborito DP Couples, fittingly enough the last time I did this listahan was around this time last year, since then my listahan has changed a slight bit. Hope you'll like this article

11. Mulan & Shang

Imo they're madami best mga kaibigan than a couple, their first meeting is hilarious though and I pag-ibig how Mulan isn't afraid to ipakita off her feelings for Shang in a subtle way and how Shang chose to not kill Mulan despite the fact that women wheren't allowed in the army, it shows that...

I know we've probably had an excess of these over the last few months, but I don't care. In my humble opinion, there can never be too many artikulo defending Walt's girls. I believe Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora just as much praise and recognition as any of the Modern or Renaissance princesses. The three classic Princesses receive a large amount of criticism. They include "weak", "passive", "need a man to save them", "boring", "do nothing", "need a man to save them", among others (that last reason is so incredibly stupid and sexist). These "arguments" are beyond cliché, mind-numbing,...

uy everyone! The classic Disney films had such a knack for capturing the splendor and wonder of magic so I thought I'd rate all the DP films to see which ones are the most magical.
For this, I took the 5 most likely elements of magic in the Disney Princess films and added 1 category for the awareness of each 6 elements. This is because the madami prominent magic would be in a story (or the world in the story), the madami people should be aware of the magic as it would be hard to miss. Here are the 12 put together:

1. Magical Powers- Meaning that magic can be done without the use of items (like wands)...

Hi everyone!

Recently, I posted a tanong asking fans to listahan five personality traits most desirable in a Disney princess. My traits poll, which was going to be the foundation of this article, was based on TheMusicalMolls' listahan of traits; the first response. I didn't bother to check my tanong again for other responses, but when I returned to my tanong after I posted the poll, I was surprised to see that madami fans had bothered to answer my question. At that point, it was only a handful of people, and since I found their lists highly similar to TheMusicalMolls', I let it be. I hope I didn't...

Here's my quick ranking on original DP films in part 1 of this artikulo series. Part 2 will follow with all the sequels, prequels and shorts. Hope you'll enjoy it!

12. Princess and the frog:
I found the script to be very lazily written, with no wow moments to remember and no surprising twists. The movie crawled at deathly slow pace, making me skip scenes in between. The animation was pretty average with nothing memorable except a few scenes in bayou and death of Dr. Facilier. I found the sett ups to be unflattering and lacked the Disney magic feel to it. The best set-up from the entire movie was...

I'm sorry but I disagree with each side. I mean I agree with each side but I don't. I think both sides of the argument are taking things way too far, and it doesn't need to.

Frozen fans need to just accept that not everyone likes this movie and nagyelo haters need to learn that they are being just as rude as the nagyelo fans and they just need to stop.

Both sides really need to stop because they're ruining this movie for me. They already ruined Elsa for me, and soon, I'll hate the whole thing, even Anna, who's my paborito DP.

Here's my ranking of Disney Prince, barring Prince Hans as he's the DP villain. Hope you'll find it entertaining.

11. Florian:
Apart from pag-awit and ipinapakita courtesy and respect to a young maid of lower status, there's literally no interaction and no scenes to understand his personality. It was kind of creepy for me that he'd halik a supposedly dead maiden. So yeah, he's the last in my list.

10. Naveen:
Spoiled rich brat who didn't even learn after plundering all the ancestoral wealth and thought of fixing it the easy way to find a rich girl to marry. Too flirtatious, too lazy, too laid-back...

I, myself only knew 7 out of 14. Who knows, you might know madami than me or know less than me. Either way enjoy pagbaba and absorb the knowledge!

Trivia

1) Production designer Richard Vander Wende devised a simple color scheme for the film, inspired sa pamamagitan ng its desert setting. Blue (water) stands for good, red (heat) for evil, and yellow (sand) is neutral. For example, the villainous Jafar is clad in blacks and reds, while the virtuous hasmin wears blue. Another example is in the Cave of Wonders, where the lamp's chamber is blue, and the ruby that tempts Abu is bright red.

2) hasmin was originally...

Did you ever know that Elsa and Anna had a cousin? Well you do now! Elsa and Anna have a cousin and there cousin is Rapunzel. Never knew that? Now you know. Rapunzel is cousins with the sisters Elsa and Anna. Rapunzel seems like she forgot she had cousins. I am not sure about Elsa and Anna if they forgot they had a cousin. How are they cousins? Elsa and Anna's mom is the sister of Rapunzel's mom. Now they are Cousins. Another weird thing. Both shows are created sa pamamagitan ng the same person. I never knew they were cousins till I saw a YouTube ipakita that sinabi they were cousins. Another weird thing. Ariel...

 Honorary Mention: Cinderella's Father
Honorary Mention: Cinderella's Father
Okay so I basically grew up without parents in a large sense. That being said, I always yearned for a loving, stable and consistent mother and father to teach morals, values, effective and constructive communication, consequences for actions, real love, respect, trust, honor, etc. Since Walt Disney founded the company under those family and character-based values, I have always been very attached to the Disney brand. That being said, I was thinking about the Disney Princesses' parents and if I could have traded my childhood situation with one of them, which would it be? Since I also pag-ibig lists...

From anukriti2409 and sweetie-94's artikulo about most beautiful things from DP movies, I was inspired to make one. But my version is a little different: this one is most beautiful things from each DP movies, from the first until the latest ones. Well, hope you'll be enjoyed my artikulo and sorry for mistakes I may be made.

My entire life, Belle has always been my absolute paborito princess. When I was just a toddler I dressed up like her for Halloween and when I got married, I even tried to find a dress that resembled her yellow toga (in white, of course).

In so many ways, Belle reminds me of myself. As someone who relates so closely to and identifies with Belle, I wanted to share my well-detailed analysis of her character. I believe we all know our paborito characters the best so I would encourage others to write an artikulo about their paborito princess. I hope that this will help others understand Belle a little...

The Disney Princesses wear some of the cutest little outfits, both inside and outside of ceremonies and balls, so I wanted to do a fun and light-hearted ranking of all of their outfits! (I will be doing a segundo countdown with the ceremonial outfits and ball gowns ranked.) I ranked them based on which I'd like to wear most:

Peasant/Work Outfits:

7. Snow White's Brown "Servant's" Outfit:
For something that is made to look incredibly unflattering, it's actually not that bad. Aside from being torn and having different-colored patches, it's really just a plain dress.

6. Tiana's Blue Work Uniform:...

As some of you may know, I recently did my version of a "Prettiest Princess" artikulo which rated the pangkalahatang attraction of each princess. That artikulo was done with a heavy bias towards what males like best about females so I wanted to make one with the bias towards what females like (in friends). What females look for in mga kaibigan will of course vary sa pamamagitan ng personality so I decided to use the Disney Princesses as the model for my female scale. I made a ranking listahan for each of them (of course, it is subject to my opinion of their rankings) and then combined all 13 lists to see how they'd rate each...
