Chapter Four

Angelina found herself sleeping soundly much later into the morning than she had planned. Normally she was a morning person so she woke up quite early. However this morning was different. Maybe it was the fact that she was in a different environment or the fact that she could just flat out be a heavy sleeper. But when she finally did flutter her eyes open, the girl was quite surprised to see a small brown bunny just wiggling its nose and staring at her. Angelina paused for a minute, just looking at the creature wide-eyed. Maybe she was still dreaming. Maybe this rabbit wasn't even here. All she had to do was remain calm.... At least until the rabbit hopped on her, an inch closer to her face. Angelina screamed and literally threw the creature off and jumped out of the bed.
"What happened?" usa asked, rushing into the room. "What's going on?" She looked around to see Angelina now cowering in the corner. usa quirked an eyebrow, confused. "What are you doing back there?"
She gulped and pointed to the rabbit. "That...that thing..." she stammered.
usa looked over at the little bunny. She cooed and picked him up. "Why, this isn't a thing silly!" she giggled. "This is my pet bunny Song."
"Song?" Angelina asked confused.
"Uh-huh." usa nodded. "See my parents first met sa pamamagitan ng pag-awit so when they gave me this pet bunny one araw I asked what to name him and then they went on telling a really cute romantic story about how they met and my mom was pag-awit I'm Wishing and my dad was pag-awit One Song so I just figured...."
"Take a breath while you talk, would you?" Angelina gasped. Boy, usa could sure talk! She then shook her head. It didn't matter what the rabbit's name was. To Angelina there was only one important thing that she needed to deal with. "Just get him away from me, ok?"
"But I can't keep him locked in a cage." usa shook her head. "I always let him out at night to sleep on my kama with me. And if I didn't take him he'd be lonely all sa pamamagitan ng himself and with no one to talk care of him." She looked to Song and pet his furry back. The bunny seemed to enjoy that, because he was smiling and wiggling his little rabbit feet.
"Well that guy's freaking me out." Angelina responded.
usa looked at her puzzled. "How can you be scared of Song?" she asked. "Didn't the three mga engkanto give you gifts and one of them was the gift of bravery?"
"There was a loophole or something, ok?" Angelina sighed. "I was out picking bulaklak one day, just pag-awit and happily skipping along keeping to myself, and then the susunod thing I know a bunch of mga hayop are staring at me right in the face. I started running so they wouldn't eat me and they chased right after me. They were trying to serve me to their little baby beasts for dinner!"
"You sure they weren't just trying to play tag or something?" usa inquired.
"Animals don't play tag. If they did why would all of them be it?" Angelina folded her arms.
"I dunno, maybe the rules of tag are different in the animal kingdom." she shrugged her shoulders.
Angelina raised her hands in defeat and attempted to walk around usa to get to her clothes and change. "I just don't wanna be in the same room as any animal."
"You didn't have a problem with Jaq or Gus or Sebastian." usa pointed out.
"Chris has those mice under control." Angelina replied. "Sebastian is a creepy alimasag but he's only trying to help. So as long as he keeps a far away distance from me I'm all for it."
usa shook her head. "You are one weird girl."
"I'm not the one who sleeps with a rabbit." Angelina responded.
"I'm very sorry, but I'm not kicking my own baby out of the room." usa said.
"He's not a baby, he's a bunny." the blond groaned.
"It's the same thing. And he's my baby, no one else's." usa sinabi somewhat stubbornly. Even though she may be hyper and soft-spoken, the one thing usa wouldn't let anyone take away from her was her animal friends. Especially not one that's a member of her own family.
Angelina, on the other hand, didn't seem to be all for it. If she had to put her foot down about something, it was going to be this. No way, no how, no chance was she going to be cooped up in a room for who knows how long with a rabbit and soemone who encourages mga hayop running around freely. So she was letting her pretty much only fear get the better of her. Big deal. That still didn't mean Angelina had to face it every single araw of her life now. She didn't do it tahanan and she wasn't doing it here. It was clear that there was only one solution.
"Then either he leaves or I do."

---

"You look tired."
Harmony picked her head up, glaring towards Jenette who was coming over to her table. Harmony looked like she was half asleep; there were bags under her eyes, her hair was barely combed, and she looked like she just threw on whatever set of clothes she grabbed for the day. Right now all of her anger was directed towards Jenette.
"I wouldn't be if someone wasn't up late with the light on pagbaba her stupid book." she said, very grumpy.
When the time had come for lights out last night, Harmony was madami than ready to go to sleep. But she had a hard time with one of the lights still on in the room. She had looked up from her kama to see Jenette's eyes glued to a book pagbaba every single word like she was hypnotized. Harmony had tried to get Jenette to put the book down and go to sleep, but the brunette had refused. It resulted in the light flickering on and off for a good oras or so before Harmony ended up collapsing onto her blankets in defeat. It had always been so much easier back home; at least when she and her elder sister fought over lights they were able to come to an agreement. Such was not the case with Jenette. The girl was just plain too stubborn to lesson. How the redhead was dispising her.
"Sorry, but I couldn't put it down." Jenette insisted. "I was right up to the climax of the book, it couldn't be tossed to the side!"
"Oh so you couldn't wait six to eight hours to finish a couple of pages?" Harmony argued.
"It was madami than a couple of pages!" Jenette responded. "There was less than a paragraph left in the chapter leading to suspense and a big dramatic scene starting in the susunod chapter which lasts a whole twenty-seven pages. Something like that just can't wait! Don't you dare tell me what to do with my stuff."
"Your stuff is my stuff now, we're stuck in the same room!" Harmony stood up.
"Not true!" Jenette fought. "do you have any of the same family mga litrato I do? No. Do you have any of my clothes? No. Do you have any of my books? No."
"God I hope not. They're about as lame as you!" she complained.
"Well you're just lamer and being a spoiled brat!" Jenette yelled.
"Raising your voice like that? You must have some anger management issues." Harmoney folded her arms.
"My anger issues are none of your business!" she insisted.
"Well you're none of my business either!"
"I could care less what your business is!"
"Then why are you still arguing with me?"
"You're the one who started it!"
"You started it first!"
"Me? How was I the one who started it?"
"I just told you how!"
"Yeah, like I was really listening to you!"
"Well gee, thanks for the respect! NOT!"
Groaning simultaneously, the girls just couldn't take raising their voices anymore. Forget the fact that they might get in trouble or wake someone up. Forget the fact that they completely hated each others' gutts right now. There came a point where two people just couldn't stand to yell anymore, no matter how much they wanted to keep fighting. Jenette and Harmony had reached that point. Giving in, they folded their arms and sat down from each other, turning their heads in opposite directions and refusing to talk to or look at each other anymore. At this point they were finished and it didn't matter what anyone else told them. Harmony was a brat and Jenette was a witch; that's all there was to it.
However, the silence didn't last too long. Just moments after it quited down, usa and Angelina approached the girls. The two of them exchanged glances before looking back to them, wondering what had been going on or if they came at a wrong time. But their issue just couldn't wait. They were stuck here and they might as well like who they were living with. Angelina had no problems at all with Fawn, it was the rabbit Song, and she had made her point quite clear. Refusing to ilipat Song to another room or keeping him in a cage and away from Angelina, the youngest of the girls had come to a much madami mature decision than Harmony or Jenette. Now it was time to share their proposition.
"Um, excuse us?" Angelina asked softly.
The girls slowly turned their heads in the same direction, seeing Angelina and usa standing almost right over them.
"What?" Jenette questioned, obviously still frustrated from the verbal battle.
"Would either of you be so kind as to switch roommates with us?" usa asked politely.
"Yeah, this isn't exactly working out for us as well as we'd hoped." Angelina agreed. "And it's either we work something out with you girls or one of us is stuck sharing a room with James and the other with Amara."
"Yes," usa nodded, "And James is far too old for either of us to be staying in the same room as him alone."
"Right.... That's the reason." Angelina said, though madami slowly as though there were some other reason. It was either that, or she was hiding something. Luckily, her statement had gone unnoticed.
"Wait, you two don't wanna room together?" Harmony inquired, raising an eyebrow. "But you two were getting along so well yesterday. Why the sudden change of mind?"
"We're not completely seeing eye to eye." usa explained. "See, I have this innocent little pet bunny in my room and he and Angelina don't get along."
"He kinda freaked me out this morning." Angelina interrupted.
"If neither of you want to trade roommates, I'm sure we can work something out..." usa started.
"NO!" both girls gasped in unison. The exchanged glares quickly before looking back at Angelina and Fawn.
"We'd be madami than happy to trade roommates." Harmony said.
"Yes, nothing would make us happier." Jenette said.
"Oh, wonderful!" usa exclaimed clapping her hands. "How do we now decide who switches rooms with who? Perhaps the best way would be to draw straws, or a simple game of Rock Paper Scissors?"
"Well if we want the easiest, most logical way to decide-" Jenette began.
Harmony cut right in, raising her hand. "I call roommies with Fawn!"
Jenette rolled her eyes. "That could work, too." she muttered. Though it wasn't quite what she had in mind. One madami reason to hate Harmony - the girl wouldn't seem to let her finish a thought.
"Excellent!" usa smiled widely. "Would you like to gather your things together and ilipat them to my room? Song has already gotten quite acquainted with the surroundings in my room."
"That's such a cute name for a little bunny." Harmony complimented. "I can't wait to meet him. It'll be so much nicer to have a male animal companion to spend time with that doesn't talk back and say things like," she cleared her throat in attempt to make it sound madami like Sebastian's, "'Harmony don't go dere. Harmony don't do dat. Harmony do you know what kind of trouble you'll get into with your moder? Dis is very dangerous for you to do, all de girls in your family are going to be de death of me, mon.'"
usa giggled. "That accent you used sounds exactly like him." she clapped. "What a cute little crab."
"A cute pruny little crab." Harmony joked. "Anyway, I'm going to go get my things together."
"And I will let our guardians know so they know where to find us and that we came to a solution very easily and politely like good girls." usa added. with that, the two of them exited the cafeteria area.
Angelina slowly turned her head to Jenette. So this was going to be the girl she'd be rooming with now? Harmony seemed so much friendlier. And if the loud yelling she had heard just from the hall on the way in really was Jenette, she'd hate to deal with that madami than usual. Maybe the easiest way to deal with this was to make the best out of the situation and hoped she'd get along with this girl better than Fawn.
"You don't have any mga hayop running around, do you?" she asked.
"No..." Jenette shook her head slowly.
"Good." Angelina sighed with relief. Then again, maybe this wouldn't be as bad as she thought. "I'm going to go get my things together and ilipat them to your room....I mean, our room."
"Right," Jenette nodded, "I think I'll just sit here a little longer. Maybe read my book some more."
"Have fun with that." Angelina replied. She turned around to leave, until in the doorway she saw James coming in. "Oh!" she gasped, smiling shyly. "Morning."
"Ah, and good morning to you." James replied with his winning smile. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Prince James of Maldonia."
"Oh you're a prince, alright." Angelina nodded. Boy was this guy cute.
He shrugged modestly. "Well, yes what can I say? It is a gift."
"Well what a coincidence. You're a prince, I'm a princess." Angelina said.
"Yes I know." James nodded. "Everyone here is a prince or princess. Well..in my case, a prince. I cannot be a princess. I have no boobs."
"Come again?" Angelina raised an eyebrow.
James scrunched his nose. "Ah yes, that is right. You have been ibingiay the gift of innocence. You do not understand the concept of..." What was that word now? "...Anatomy."
"Right..." Angelina could feel her face heating up. Boy that was embarrassing..and she didn't even know what she did or sinabi wrong. All the girl knew was that she mesed up. Miserably. "I...uh...I gotta go." She then rushed right past James and out of the room.
James scratched his head. "That could have gone better." he sinabi to himself. Turning his head and seeing Jenette, he put on his best smile and smoothed out his hair. "Why hello there." he grinned, walking over to her. "How do you say 'you are incerdibly hot' in your country?"
Jenette looked at James and already wasn't impressed. She stood up from her upuan just looking at him like he had four heads. "The same way we call players like you. Idiots." she answered simply before walking away.
James scratched his chin, "Interesting concept..." he sinabi to himself. He then saw her leaving, "By the way you are an idiot!"

---

It was around five minutos later that Jamal entered and walked over to James. He laughed and pat his friend on the back. Even though he was a bit late to the part, he had still recalled the whole thing. Granted, he was standing in the hall for the past five minutos trying to get over the laughing and how funny it was to watch the guy completely screw up with two girls within a five minuto interval.
"Nice going man." Jamal told him.
James groaned. "Why must girls always be so difficult? The girls from New Orleans and Maldonia are far madami entertaining."
"Yeah well, you win some and you lose a lot." Jamal replied.
James stared at Jamal. "Did you know that one of those girls did not know what a boob was?"
"Really?" he gasped. "That's so easy. A boob is a really stupid person. Kinda like what you called that French girl."
"That is not the definition I was looking for." James muttered. He shifted his gaze towards the window. Much like Chris and River had seen that morning, James found a dark ulap hovering in the distance. It wasn't even a small cloud; James could tell that it was a fairly large cloud. "Achidanza." he sinabi to himself in his Maldonian accent, slowly getting up and going to the window for a better view.
Jamal quirked an eyebrow. "Achoo what?"
"It looks like quite a storm is coming." James replied, ignoring Jamal's confusion. "Look, my friend, there is a humungous cloud."
Jamal walked over to the segundo window and followed James' gaze. "We never see any clouds like that in Agrabah." his jaw dropped.
"If that storm is as bad as it looks, we might even lose power. No lights, no heat, no nothing. We will become nagyelo princicles." James said.
"Well now, that might not be so bad." Jamal smirked. "No heat means lots of cold girls. And who will be there to cuddle with them and keep them warm?"
James nodded knowingly and smiled, pointing at Jamal. "We are." Then he chuckled, "You are quite the brilliant one, my friend. You really know how to keep your head out of the clouds."
"We'd better go grab a ton of blankets." Jamal said.
"Amara always keeps plenty around. We will go through her side of the closet." James said.
With that the boys exited the cafeteria, just moments before Genie flew in looking worried and a bit upset. He knew something that no one else knew. He had seen the sky and he knew what was going to happen. They had even less time than he had hoped. sa pamamagitan ng the time word reached the others it might be too late. How was he going to break the news to everyone...especially with family members trying to make their way over right now?
