A/N#1: Blahhh another boring chapter:/ Sorry gotta get through all the
descriptions and introductions! But the story will pick up very soon!
Chapter 3:
Four months on a bangka in the middle of the ocean with no land in
sight, that was until today.
We finally arrived in a small town that was surrounded sa pamamagitan ng huge oaks
and pines, a cliff overlooked the sea and the sand was a brownish
color. It wasnt the most beautiful land ever but it was land, I wanted
off this bangka so bad that I didn't care where they let me off as long
as the land was solid.
The wind whipped through my long black hair and I grabbed the
elasitic I had on my wrist to tie it back, then put it back around my
wrist again. I loved the feeling of the wind whipping through my
hair, the sound of it was like a gentle lullaby that reminded me of
one that my Mother sang to me so many years ago.
I missed mom and dad, four months is a long time to go without
seeing them and now I would have to wait one madami to listen to
their playful bantering and back in the araw stories.
Not much had happened on this ship since that first week, except
the fact that Edward Ronal Gerald "the third" now wants to court
my sister.
Yes I did put my foot down at that.
Once my Father got here I told him that the decision would be left
to him but not to get his hopes up, Captain's not to fond of the idea
of us even thinking about courting yet. Not with so much time for
that in the future.
The jerk had gotten even worse if that was possible, which I found
out it was. He was cold to me then when he saw my sister he was
spotlessly polite and a gentlemen. Guy made me sick.
Adam though was the complete opposite. I had spent plenty a
night on the deck with him just telling stories of the past adventures
I have had, and madami stories about my Father and his rumbles with
the Natives in his early years.
Him and I had grown close, very close. I guess you could really
consider him my best friend. But under that I felt as if the relationship
could be more, but like I sinabi I can't worry about those things right
now. I have other responsibilities.
"You ready to have actual ground to walk on?" Adam whispered
in my ear making me jump back from the railing I had been leaning
on. My puso pounded in my chest from the scare.
"Gosh Adam way to scare someone!" I scolded him while trying to
catch my breath. Finally I regained my composure and walked back
to where I had been standing.
"But to answer your question...yes I am" I told him while smoothing
my hair back. At this movement a piece of biskwit fell out of the pocket
on my dress.
I bent over and picked up the little offending piece of food, eating
this every single araw had really taken a toll on me.
"You know what..." I sinabi to myself while pulling the last of the
bisquits out of my dress, I squeezed them and then threw them over
board watching them crash into the water.
"Beth! Why did you do that?! That's the only pagkain you received!" Adam
exclaimed looking at me like I was crazy, all I did was smile sweetly.
"Oh please, theres pagkain on land. Even if that wasn't the case I would
rather starve then eat that offending little bisquit ever again" With that
I walked over to Cecily who was sitting sa pamamagitan ng our things while we waited
to unload.
To my great, great displeasure. Edward was sitting beside her laughing
at whatever she was saying. He makes me sick.
"Move" I demanded as I walked up susunod to him, I had been sitting in
that exact spot 10 minutos nakaraan and I was not about to let him just take
it.
"What if I sinabi no?" He told me raising one eyebrow and giving me a
challenging look through his cold brown eyes, the complete opposites
of Adam's.
"Then I would do this..." With that I quickly shoved my hands into his
shoulder causing him to topple over the box in a clumsy fashion.
All the crew had been watching and started laughing at Edward as
he stood from the ground and glared at me while they all applauded.
"That answer your question...Edward?" I asked him a challenging look
in my blue eyes. He stormed off with his blue "uniform" swishing as he
walked away.
Cecily glared at me, her brown eyes filled with anger. The last few
months her and I havnt exactly been getting along like we used to.
Her little crush on Edward was really getting to the both of us.
Finally everything was ready to go and we stepped off the boards of
the bangka and onto the ground of the new world.
"Elizabeth? Cecily?" I heard a tentative voice ask as we made our way
through the jamestown residents awaiting the arrivals. We both turned
to see a man with red hair and a skinny stature about 5 feet away
from us.
We had both met Thomas before when I was seven and Cecily was five. He
had come back to London to collect his family to bring them over here. He
had come over to say hello to our father when he got the surprise
of seeing my mother again and also two little girls running around the
house.
"Thomas!" I smiled and greeted him with a warm hug. I liked Thomas
he was an honest guy and I could see why my father and him had become friends.
"Wow Elizabeth! Cecily! You both have grown!" He exclaimed holding us
both at arms length and looking at us up and down.
"Yeah it seems like that happens to everyone!" I smiled at him
and pointed at his face. He had Nawawala his boyish looks and had become
madami muscular.
After our greetings were done he helped us with our things and
led us through the town. It was small, and seemingly quiet more
of a fort then a true town.
"Why are there fences up around the town?" I asked him curiously as
I observed the wood seperating us from the forest.
Thomas paused for a segundo throwing an almost nervous glance over
at the fence then he calmed. " It's in case the Natives decide to rebel,
theres been some tension between us the last year" He explained
as we came up to a small wooden cottage just on the outskirts of the town.
We got a tour of the wooden house, and met his wife Linda who
was a small blonde women who seemed to have a bubbly personality.
They have a baby, his name is John in honor of my father, and for the
fact that he has blonde hair just like my Dad's.
Cecily and I were going to share a room that contained to small beds with
quilts on them. Our window overlooked the ocean where the sun would soon
be setting.
After unpacking and eating hapunan with the family everyone returned to
their room. I hadn't eaten much at hapunan because I wasn't hungry but now
I was starving. Adam was right, shouldn't have thrown those bisquits in the ocean.
Cecily fell asleep quickly as I sat on the dumi ng tao sa pamamagitan ng the window watching
the clouds pass the moon in the dark sky.
"I wanna see what are beyond those walls" I whispered to myself as I
glanced out my window towards the edges of the town where there
was little slips in the barrier.
Glancing back at Cecily to make sure she was sleeping I slipped out
the window clad in my riding boots and brown leather pants, a
ruffled white sando was all I could find that would go with the pants, and
it made me nervous that someone would see the color in the moonlight.
"Now its time for a little adventure" I whispered to myself taking off
in the direction of the barrier seperating me from the reason I had come
here for.

Leah was sleeping, it was night time the araw was long with work. She woke up before her mom did to check on her horse Chun a beautiful white and black mare who was 7 years old and already strong.
