Yes, because I would do anything for my dream, for true love, and to have everything I've ever wanted. In real life you have to make sacrifices for the things you want and leave some things behind.

Merida, Rapunzel, and Jasmine are still more selfish than she is.

I don't see how Rapunzel is more selfish than Ariel....but I feel that her selfishness is blown way out of proportion. She had been wanting to get out of the ocean her whole life, and she has 6 other sisters to take the thrown! It's not like she had sooo many duties and she was dampening the entire kingdom. She just did something that she'd wanted to do all her life, a little selfish yes, but it's not that bad.

Lets not fail to mention that she did, at one point, plan on seeing Eric again in her mermaid form.

well i love both ariel and rapunzel but i agree rapunzel is more selfish, she is great but thought ,mostly about what she wanted, her dream, etc and didnt care if gothel was hurt (she did care a bit at least though!) ariel took her family into consideration too like rapunzel but no one remembers that.
i dont think a little selfishness makes you lucifer, cause as kataralover said we are all at least a bit selfish.

Rapunzel is not more selfish Rapunzel was going to come back , ariel was like "I'm just going to run away to this cute guy I just met by changing my body, losing my voice, and leaving my family, even though my dad said no, because I'm only a princess with a bunch of stuff but no I want MORE!!!!! But then there is jasmine and Merida too, we all have a bit of selfishness, but ariel is defiantly more selfish than Rapunzel

And dumb, she is really dumb
