Attraction is an important part of any healthy romantic relationship. It can be physical or intellectual, but I think that the two mix together when you're really into someone. Intellectual attraction spawns physical attraction or vice versa.

So basically, what I'm saying is that people are almost always physically attracted to their romantic partners in some way. If they're not, there are possibly larger issues lurking below the surface.

^I agree. I didn't want to come off as rude but when someone claims that outer appearances have no importance whatsoever, I automatically don't believe them.

I feel like you've gotta be at least a LITTLE attracted to the person's outer appearance for a relationship to work. Now, that's not to say the person has to be beautiful by societal standards. But when it comes to romantic relationships, physical attraction is important. Not as important as what's on the inside, but you still need it to some degree.

The one exception to that may be if you've known each other for years as friends or something and grow so close that you really only see them for what they are on the inside, but other than that, no.

Agreed with Audreybrooke. Human hormones create some form of physical attraction. It ain't all hormonal, but the initial part is. lol.

I dunno, there have been times where I haven't even noticed someone or didn't find them especially attractive but then they said or did something that made me see them in a different light...
