I have control issues. ;P

I'm not very confident anymore. I used to be, maybe...at one time. But more often than I'd care to admit, I am in the role of the submissive. I have to do what people say. Not doing what others tell me to do leads to horrible conflicts. I'm afraid of them getting angry at me, yelling at me, punishing me, and telling me how incompetent I am for having beliefs of my own, and for having my own feelings that differ from theirs. And I do think this is why...I shrink away from people. I automatically want them to not get close. I don't want them to know how I truly feel.

My very dearest friends know that I have a hard time sharing my feelings, or accepting who I really am. It pretty much sucks. Being who I really am makes other people question my happiness, and causes them to be angry and upset.

Yeah. I am a submissive...who wants more agency in her own life, and for her own self. But I am totally unable to get any. People are usually not happy until I am miserable.

I hate fighting all of the time for just the capacity to be who I am...as if that were wrong or evil. I'm just so tired...of practically everything.

Do you mean like who gets to pick where we get dinner or like fifty shades of grey dominate? I took it as the first and I think I usually like to pick what we do.

I can relate to wavesurf. I'm not in a romantic relationship, but with family/friend relationships, I've definitely submissive.

I'm not dating anyone but I'm pretty passive in general.

I don't really know considering I've never really been in a serious relationship.

I'm very confident generally and am capable when it comes to taking control of situations. The thing is that I HATE calling the shots. And in romantic relationships, I would definitely prefer following my significant other's lead.

That being said, I still think of myself as a strong, opinionated person. I just get so tired of making minor decisions sometimes. :) I'm actually a very passive individual when it comes to one-on-one relationships, despite my predisposition to taking the lead with groups.

Maybe that plays into why I find Aurora and Phillip's relationship to be so romantic, since she's clearly the submissive one. If only I could find someone like Phillip. ;)

Definitely. I'm a pretty passive person in general, but when it comes to people I care about, I make sure my voice is heard.

I'm not in a romantic relationship but in terms of family & classmates, I'm too nice. When my parents yell at me occasionally I'm afraid to speak to them & tell them not to yell at me. When people are rude to me at college, I'm not assertive enough. I seriously need to work on it. One time this person at college was very rude to me. I was trying to have a conversation with him & he went on his god damn iPhone & walked away. I wish was assertive & said to him that was rude. Even though Ariel is my favorite DP I sometimes relate to the classic princesses because I'm too nice & an introvert. Sorry for my language, I swear a lot lol.

I guess? I'd say we're pretty equal but I do not like being told what to do. If he respects me, he'll respect my choices, my input and my needs.
