Ariel would bring more energy to the mission. It's an adventure for an explorer. Rapunzel left her tower because she wanted to see the lights, Ariel went to the sunken ship because she has an adventurous soul.

Maaayyybe? This is getting hard. I think her hot headed impulsiveness could get in the way at times.

Rapunzel comes across as timid in the face of danger. Even in the TV series, after she escapes her tower and goes to live with her parents, she is more timid than Cassandra is. Rapunzel is even timid when the baker/candy maker in the town hates her. When Rapunzel faces her foes, she doesn't immediately begin the offensive.

Like in her first movie, Rapunzel truly has problems standing up for who she is. This is kind of why I am not a Rapunzel fan. I ended up wishing the series would focus on Cassandra, instead.

So, I don't see Rapunzel looking at this as an adventure, and standing up for herself, as Cassandra and Ariel naturally do, all of the time.

I feel like Ariel has more experience in dangerous adventures and surviving on her quick thinking than Rapunzel. She's especially good under pressure in the TV series compared to Rapunzel in the Tangled TV series. Also, lets face it, Mulan is going to win this countdown and rightfully so.
