The songs are a lot better in the original movie.

I did watch the other two movies quite a bit though, so I do enjoy them a lot.
It is still weird for me to see Ariel as a mature mother when she acted so differently in the first movie. The prequel was sweet with Ariel's mother, but it didn't feel like canon when Triton banned music because in the original movie he loved it so much. I know he liked it again at the end of the movie, but it still felt a little off.

^What I didn't get is why Triton would ban music just because his wife died and the ban went on for so long. I understand he was in mourning and all but if the person you loved so much loved music and loved to sing does it really make sense to forbid anyone from enjoying it, including his own daughters? It would make more sense to just create the law to not go to the surface anymore

Both 1 and 2, 3 was good too
