Honestly Tamatoa and Te Ka lol

I know some people will vote for Ratcliffe just because he and Pocahontas never actually met in the first film but really, it's Facilier.

As much as I like him, his aesthetic and his musical number, his role in the story is very convoluted, it has absolutely nothing to do with Tiana or Naveen and if anything his evil plan adds to one of the biggest problems people have with this film, how messy it is. I still prefer a villain like him over no villain at all though.

The three classic villains and Gothel are all obviously crucial to the story. The film's plot doesn't exist without them.

The rest of the villains don't really HAVE to exist for the story to work but something equivalent to them has to exist for certain plot points to happen.

Ursula-a way for Ariel to become human
Gaston-a reason for Belle to return to the castle at the end
Jafar-a way for Aladdin to find the lamp
Ratcliffe and Shan Yu are simply leaders of the opposing side in stories about war

@BB2010 I purposely did not include those sorry excuses for "villains" because....let's be real.

^But Belle wouldn't have RETURNED to the castle without Gaston forming and leading the angry mob to attack the Beast, putting the Beast in a dire situation that brought Belle's emotions to the surface, realizing she loves the Beast and thus breaking the spell.

So even without his whole "I want to marry Belle" thing, he still serves a purpose similar to Ratcliffe and Shan Yu, in that he's the leader or "face" of an antagonistic force the protagonists (the townspeople, the settlers, the huns)

Mordu from Brave actually, everyone else is important in their movies.
If no Facilier, Tia&Naveen would never meet or fall in love lol.

Honestly, it could have just been a random army. He wasn't necessary to the plot. Also, Mor'du and then Dr. Facillier.

I m gonna say gaston because the story could still be the same except for the end. Not dr facilier because without him the story would not have begin. Naveen would have go to big daddy home see charlotte marry her for her money and a whole new story i guess no frog no louis no ray no mamma oddie . Then i will say shan yu.

He wasn't in original fairytale, in which main heroine still returned to the castle.

He barely has interaction with Tiana or Naveen and his motivations barely have anything to do with them, especially Tiana. She has a 1 minute scene with him and that's it.
