Say for instance, that you're asked if Cinderella is smart...some might say no, because she let her Stepmother & Stepsisters use her and walk all over her, and some might say yes, because in the third movie she sneaks into the castle, and tries to win the Prince back.

I loathe sequels...I like to pretend they don't exist.

I usually do not. However, I consider Cinderella III to be an exception, because it expands Cinderella's personality. Ariel's Beginning is also another exception because of what we learn about Triton.

They do sometimes explain unanswered questions like why Triton hates humans so much it's because they killed his wife and the reason of being most protective of Ariel besides being interested in the human would is that she looks the most like her mother I don't see what you don't like about sequels

No not at all. I abhor most sequels and tend to disinclude them when talking about princesses :/

Unless they specifically say "including sequels" or if they ask about Mulan and Shang as a couple.
