This is pretty funny - at 900 years old the Doctor shrunk to about a foot tall. So after 10000 years, you obviously grow again to an incredibly abnormal size, lose your body (your head falls off at some point) and then find yourself unable to breath without being in a gigantic jar. it was basicly said in the show any way so yeah he is for defo. sure you might say but he is human not a giant head, but cmon its doctor who and captain jack goes through adventures just a much as the doctor does in his own show torchwood. so i think the reason why he turns into a giant head will come up sooner or later either in torchwood or in doctor who

I think that when Jack said 'Face of Boe, they called me' was a way for the Face of Boe to tell the Doctor that he was 'not alone' and probulary never going to be totally alone again with Jack being immortal!
