Middle-earth is the main continent of Earth (Arda) in an imaginary period of the Earth's past, ending with Third Age, about 6,000 years ago.
This (Arda) Universe is much different from Tolkien’s tale. In this epic version (Arda) is peopled not only sa pamamagitan ng Men, but sa pamamagitan ng Wizards, Witches, Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits, Fauns, Centaurs, Fairies, mga sirena and mga kabayong may sungay including Griffins. Also sa pamamagitan ng monsters like Dragons, Trolls, Goblins, Orcs, Werewolves, and Bampira including Ents and Giants.
Men, Elves and Dwarves resided in Middle-Earth. Men also resided in Darkland along with Fauns, mga engkanto and Centaurs....
