How do you make you own screencaps from a dvd to add to fanpop?

I have tried a number of ways I found on internet and none have worked for me....
I have tried power dvd and it only lets me take on screencap at a time.
I have tried kmp-player and it gives me error evertime: "impossible to run in superspeedmode"
If anyone could give me some other ways to make screencaps of my own it would be much appreciatied!!

You need to have VLC player though (I have it and have not had any problems, it's a legit piece of software).

I can't test it myself though because my DVD player doesn't work.

I could only download the newest version of VLC (1.0.2) and it doesnt have an option that says video output - image output... so do you know how to screencap on that version

if that one doesn't work, I'd suggest doing a google search: something along the lines of "screencaps with vlc player"
