Where did the whole "Aboot" and "Oot" thing come from?

I've seen this replacing all of a couple user's "About" and "Out," Especially link...And I was just curious to where it came from. :p

I was too busy admiring your Photoshop skills to think of an answer. Incidentally, "oot" and "aboot" are pet peeves of mine and I'm not really sure why.

Well, I'm guessing it has something to do (in Germany123's case anyway) with How I Met Your Mother where they really exaggerate stereotypes to do with Canadians. Canadians pronouncing it "oot" instead of "out" and "aboot" instead of "about" (which sa pamamagitan ng the way is not true for about 90% of Canadians) is a big part of that. I know Germany123 is a big tagahanga of the ipakita so I'm guessing that's why.

Well, I know that that pronunciation is part of a common Canadian accent- often exaggerated for comic affect in pelikula and what not. So I'm assuming it originated there?
