Was Fai's twin in the anime series?

Do you remember one of the last episodes in the anime series? Syaoran, Kurogane, and Fai were all under this weird illusion where they say things they were afraid of or something like that. I was expecting that Fai would see Ashura but instead he saw himself. Was that his twin or himself? I need to go back and watch that episode, but I think it was foreshadowing his twin. Let me know what you think.
