Chapter 21: Lady Evangeline
"Uh...yes! That's me!" The men all stared greedily at her, their fades suddenly melted into guilty mugs.
"Where did your kidnapper take you Miss?"
"Uhhh......." She had to think of something fast, they would know she was a fraud. "I'd rather not say, it's much to sad." An elderly woman hobbled to the open bar and caught Charlotte's attention. "Lady Evangeline! You've returned!" She grabbed her hand in her old and winkled ones. "We must tell your mother!" The bar tender was already on the case. The first man stood from his dumi ng tao and waved his arms in the air. "Alert the media! Lady Evangeline has returned!"
"See that? They found Evangeline Deluth and we Nawawala charlotte Wintercrest." sinabi Winry as she stared up at the telebisyon in Mustang's office; kicked back in her chair. Edward sat pasulong in his chair and asked: "Who's that?" Roy searched through his large filing cabinet and cracked open a dusty folder labeled : "Evangeline Jayde Deluth- MISSING" With a picture attached with a paperclip.
"Evangeline Jayde Deluth; heiress to the Deluth Suites and Deluth family fortune. Reported missing on May 7 of this year. " Roy looked up from his mesa to find everybody staring back at him, hanging on his every word.
"Only child of Rosemary Alice Waterson and Theron ibon ng dyey Deluth, described of having light blue eyes and straight light brown hair, standing about five feet four inches and weighing one hundred and five pounds. She is never seen without her uri ng bulaklak hairclip, being a family heirloom. She is sinabi to only where white dresses, representing innocence and youth." Mason nearly leapt from his seat, knocking his upuan over in the process. "I've heard of her before! She was kidnapped and held for ransom, she was thought to be dead." Edward rose from his chair and turned the volume the telebisyon up.
"......Reportedly found early this morning in Rush Valley, Evangeline Deluth; dressed in a red amerikana and her trademark uri ng bulaklak clip. She has been taken to her tahanan outside of Drachma." Edward switched off the tv.
"That's where we need to go, something isn't sitting right with me."
A large hotel stood before her, a woman with dark hair and a dark blue dress rushed toward her with tears streaming from her eyes.
"Evangeline! I misses you so much!" charlotte was put into the mother of all madala hugs as the woman's tears moistened her newly dyed hair.
"Come now, you must get ready." Her "mother" draped her arm around her, Charlotte, missing the pag-ibig of a mother, almost burst into tears.
"For what?" The hotel was immense, for lack of a better word. A large chandelier hung from the lobby, a marble grand staircase encasing it. To the left was a lounging area, the right was a bar, and directly behind the staircase was a ballroom.
"Hurry and freshen up for your welcoming tahanan dinner, the whole town is invited." charlotte nodded and started up the stairs, turning to her newly found mother with curious eyes. "Mama? Where is my room? I must have forgotten."
The woman at the foot of the stairs pointed upward.
"Up the stairs, through the large door to right, Oh!" She picked up the hem of her dress and hurried up the stairs to meet her. "You need this." She was handed a silver key with the name "Evangeline" engraved into it. "It's locked"
charlotte smiled sweetly and continued up the stairs, passing rooms, a hotel. It consisted of seven floors, all packed with hotel rooms. She slid the key into the keyhole, watching the fancy door click open to reveal an entire tahanan within. She turned to the right, finding the door saying "E.J.D." She unlocked that also and found a completely dark room, it's walls painted a deep blue with white curtains. Around the room were plenty of torso mannequins, all dressed in pure white evening gowns. The vanity was white, like the sheets on her kama and the canopy and draping around the ginto kama posts. Charlotte stared at her unrecognizable reflection in the mirror, funding a framed picture of the girl she was pretending to be. She resembled her to a "T", fitting the paglalarawan perfectly. Charlotte turned back to the dresses, selecting one and laying it in her bed, jumping into the paliguan quickly.

When he suffers the consequences and loses everything he holds dear, she will give all she has to offer.
When he can't stand on his own, she will teach him how to walk again.
When he burns down the past in the name of making a future, she will salvage the memories worth keeping.
When he has no tahanan and no light to pierce the darkness, she will provide hers.
When he leaves, she will wait for his return.
When he wavers, she will hold him steady.
When he struggles with demons, she will fight with him.
When he won't listen to reason, she will knock some sense into him.
When he breaks, she will fix it and forge it stronger.
When he refuses to cry, she will wash his pain in her own tears.
When he cannot pag-ibig himself, she will.
And when he finally conquers the odds, she will be there to say:
"Idiot. Welcome home."
And when he offers her half his life, she will give him ALL of hers. Because true love can't be bound by the laws of Equivalent Exchange. <3 God, I love this couple...
