Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Article: Just a tanong about Twilight...

Okay, today I was just thinking about Twilight and Breaking Dawn when I realised that there was something that didn't really make sense and I was hoping that one of you could clarify it for me.

NOTE: It does refer to sex, but I'll try and keep it as PG as possible.

OK. As you probably know, if a girl is a virgin then there is a membrane which partially covers the vaginal opening, which is known as the hymen. This is broken when it is penetrated.

Now, my question. What would happen if a female was turned into a vampire if she was a virgin? Would she still be able to have sex or would the male be unable to penetrate the hymen because it is 'rock- hard'?

Personally, I would think that she would be unable to have sex, but that's just my opinion. Is there anyone who can definitely say for sure?

cassie-1-2-3 You have to remember that the vampire male she would be with would be just as dense as she is. When Bella turned into a vimpire, Edward didn't feel hard as stone anymore because they were of equal density. He feels normal to her. Seeing this direct relation between the two, it's safe to say it would be easily broken by a vampire male.

AllyAM Also, that membrane is generally broken sometime during a girl's childhood when they fall or something similar, if not then, it will be during puberty if she uses tampons ever. (yeah....just finished 10th grade health class about a month ago....)

rbweasley OK, I see your point, but doesn't this mean that if, perhaps, Emmett punched Jasper, then he would leave a bruise or something? Or if Rosalie scratched Alice's skin then there would be a scar? Also, I remember reading somewhere where it says that vampire teeth are the only thing that leave a mark, which means that they are the only thing that can penetrate the skin, which means that the membrane thing wouldn't be broken.

cassie-1-2-3 Emmett has no blood, so he would never bruise. He would only experience pain. The vampires have a regeneration power, as demonstrated in the shapeshifter legend. Every time they tore the vampire apart, he came back together and healed himself. They don't scar because they heal completely. Remember when Edward tore Victoria's head off? Or wen they ripped James to shreds? They didn't use they teeth. They are strong enough to simply tear them apart. It was said that the teeth are the only things that leave scars.
