Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Article: A Little Rant sa pamamagitan ng Me

Okay, I should start this off sa pamamagitan ng saying that I am a tagahanga of both Harry Potter and Twilight, but I am a bigger tagahanga of Harry Potter. Why am I telling you this, you ask? Because this artikulo is going to sound a lot like I am defending Twilight, which I am, and trashing on the Harry Potter, which I am not. Now that that's out of the way...

Okay. Earlier, I was in the Harry Potter spot, and I saw a rather shocking comment in one of the picks: "I cant think of an overrated harry potter character- overrated is over on the Twilight spot- he he." This sparked my interest. Is there anything else in the HP spot or in the Twilight spot that has to do with the other? I found out that, in fact, there is. Here's what I found:

- Team Harry picture (which figuratively craps on Twilight)

Why is it that people are putting things in spots where they don't belong? Twilight and Harry Potter have nothing to do with each other, other than Rob being in both (which makes up for this larawan and bidyo of him in Harry Potter in the Twilight spot) and that people like to compare them. People comparing them is not a good excuse for you to go into a spot that you are not a tagahanga of to say why you hate it and why the other is better, nor is it a good excuse for you to constantly have picks and tanong comparing the two when there is a Twilight vs. Harry Potter spot.

To Antis, preferably: Why do you add artikulo and forums about why Harry Potter is better in the Twilight spot? You will accomplish nothing. Do you ever see an artikulo in the Harry Potter spot about why Harry Potter sucks and why Twilight is better? I sure don't, and if there is, please direct me with a link. The Twilight spot is for Twilight fans. It's not for people like the Antis to go in and share why they think it sucks. If you think it sucks, then go into the C.A.T. spot or this spot. Don't waste your time telling it to people who either don't care or will be very offended because they are actually a tagahanga of it.

Oh, and it really doesn't go with the article, but remember when you guys were complaining about this spot being centered around Twilight (despite having way madami Antis / Harry Potter fans, picks that always have Harry Potter as the clear winner, tanong about why the Twilight fans talk like idiots, and most of the larawan being Anti-Twilight)? I'm surprised that no one sinabi that the pamagat of this spot has Harry Potter listed first. So, I thought of something. Maybe the creator of this spot saw that Harry Potter was listed first, and therefore, had to add just one madami Twilight image to the banner to compensate. Just a thought.

Opinions and comments would be greatly appreciated, as long as they're not calling me names for being a Twilight tagahanga or smart-ass comments like "You like Twilight. Therefore, your argument is invalid." Debate, please. :)

Edit: I just realized how much I hate the pamagat of this. Ugh.

Yarrgh You see more Harry Potter articles in the Twilight spot, ranting about how crap Twilight is, it is because most Harry Potter fans are from every age group, whereas a high percentage of Twilight fans are tweens & teenagers, who don't know how to spell properly & use many abbreviations! So they cannot be bothered to bitch & rant about Harry Potter, they only go on about how "Hot Edward Cullen" is. & your not really accomplishing anything on this article either, it doesn't make a difference, it hasn't changed my view on anything. But I do like some of the points you have made. If that makes sense, after what i've written, aha. (Please do not take my comment as an insult, but you stated that a opinion would be great, & now you've got mine.)

VampiresRevenge I don't think so. I would say that the brunt of Fanpop is tweens / teenagers, so it doesn't really matter what they are a fan of. Most of the users are around the same age. And though many of the Twilight fans can't type right, you would be surprised. There are a lot of fans in the Twilight spot who can actually give debates while using correct grammar and punctuation. I know, it sounds unbelievable. ... I know that I won't change anyone's mind about what they are a fan of. That's not the point of this article. It's to get people to think, for me to get some things that I've been wanting to say for a while off of my chest, and to see if I could get some people to say why they like to but HP in the Twilight spot and Twilight in the HP spot. And if this article isn't accomplishing something because it's not changing your mind, then almost every article here is pointless. There are a ton of articles on here about why Twilight sucks and I don't agree with them nor will I stop liking Twilight because of them, but does that mean that the articles aren't going to accomplish something? No. Don't worry. I wasn't insulted by your comment. I'm glad that someone commented.

LilRavenclaw95 I agree! Keep the debating here. Honestly. And as for the "You like Twilight. Therefore, your argument in invalid.", LOL! Whoever said that is stupid, and you need to ignore them! And the quote mentioned above made me think of the "Voldemort is breathing fire-- YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID!" photo. Just so you know O:)

VampiresRevenge Thanks! Yeah, someone told me that on another site because I had a "Twilight related avatar" when it was actually a Cedric avatar. Haha, I've seen that photo before.

LilRavenclaw95 Ah, Cedric. Ever since he died it's been all down-hill for him. xD Woooow... Was this person an HP fan? If so, EPIC FAIL, haha! And that picture is full of win. But not only does Voldemort breathe fire, he breathes fire that turns into a giant flaming snake. Pwn :)

VampiresRevenge Haha, I know. Too much sparkles for Cedric. I have no clue if they were a fan of HP, but it was on a music site that's full of a-holes. Every chance they get they attack my username (it's the same as it on here.) Total pwn. The only thing that would pwn more is if he killed Edward, hahaha. He could jump into Twilight in order to kill him.

boolander25 I've never really complained about the banner and I can list a bunch (well maybe a few) overrated HP characters. I'd much rather we stick to debating on this spot rather than invading others. Like you said, it accomplishes nothing. The spelling mistakes and bad grammar, well everyone messes up once in a while. It's just when it's completely over the top crap that I'll get annoyed. It truly is unfortunate that we have Twitards as the stereotype for all Twilight fans.

LilRavenclaw95 ^^^ That would be the single best ending of all time. Sometimes I re-read Twilight and hope that it magically ends with SOMEONE dying. I guess I'm just insane that way xD Ah, a-holes. They're annoying, but it's funny talking to them. Everything they say makes me want to A) slap them with a fish, or B) laugh so loud that they walk away. And I like your username!
