Alright I haven't gotten a chance to revise and edit this so it's still kind of a listahan type thing. I guess I'll finish later. One point for now.


While pagbaba the popular teen book Twilight, I couldn't help but notice some rather disturbing problems, and some facts that just don't add up.

For starters, Twilight is anti feminist. How can it be anti-feminist? you might ask. Well here's how, Bella is always staying at tahanan tending to either her father, her boyfriend, or her boyfriends family. Meyer cleverly disguises this sa pamamagitan ng saying "oh well Charlie can't cook" and "there's nothing better to do". How about go hang out with your underdeveloped friends? We like them madami anyway. Another way Twilight is anti-feminist is that Leah never gets to imprint. Every one of the males gets to imprint but the one girl is in her early 20's, menopausal, and never imprints.

This leads to my segundo point, imprinting is sexist, can be child grooming/pedophilia. Imprinting is sexist because when the male imprints, the female has no choice but to pag-ibig him back. She even sinabi in her own book that it's hard to resist that level of devotion. It is pedophilia because you've got two of the "werewolves" imprinting on girls younger than 5. Jacob imprints on Reneesme who is about 1 minuto old when he imprinted. And one of the other males imprinted on a two-year old girl. Sick? I think so. This is how it's child grooming. Jacob Black, who imprinted on the newborn, says that since they are so young, the males can become whatever the child needs be it a brother, uncle, or best friend. However, because Leah can't imprint, since she is menopausal, the reader learns that the only purpose of imprinting is reproduction. Since the only purpose is reproduction, and imprinters can conform to whatever the child needs, they are essentially gaining the child's trust to reproduce with them. Otherwise known as child grooming.


Stephanie Meyer thrusts her religion in our faces. I'm not saying it's bad to be religious but please have some consideration for other people, some give young fans bad ideas.. You've got her young pregnancy (at only 19), women's "jobs" are to stay tahanan with the family and essentially start one ASAP. Only the men are leading the house and none of the women in Twilight ever really get a say in what goes on. For those wondering how Twilight could possibly be anti-feminist, this is how.

She argues with scientific fact. Now "it's fiction what does it matter?". It's flipping SCIENTIFIC FACT. That doesn't need to be brought into a fiction book! She's telling the truth when she says that humans have 23 chromosomes. But she also says that her mga asong lobo have 24 chromosomes. This makes Jacob an impossible animal/human thing. Since he isn't first generation, the chromosome breech would mean that the first mga asong lobo are sterile when it comes to reproduction without other werewolves.
Now with Renesmee; she has a chromosome problem too. Bampira are sinabi to have 25 chromosomes and, as stated, humans have 23. Because of this, she shouldn't be growing like a weed. Not to mention the fact that her sole pinagmulan of pagkain is terrible. Do you know why Vampire Bats (a mammal like Nessie) have to drink so much blood? It's because it has almost no nutrients. Let alone enough to grow a baby rapidly on!

Let's say Tyler's van has a mass approx. 800 kg and is traveling at 70 km/h. Or about 20m per second.
Using E=(1/2)M*V^2 (comes out in Joules) this equals 160,000 Joules.
Edward has to have enough energy stored up to counteract all this energy.
Organisms get energy through 2 main sources: Biochemical and thermal. Meyer say her vamps don't need oxygen which is used for cellular respiration. This produces ATP which is the basis for all biochemical energy. Edward doesn't breathe so no ATP, which adds up to 0 J of energy.
The other way is thermal energy and organisms get it directly from the sun. Not taking into consideration that Meyer says her Pyers avoid the sun and say he is in the sun, clothed. This means roughly 10% of his body is exposed to the sun so .5m of skin total. The sun emits approx. 1.4 KW/m^2 to Earth's surface. Thus, Edward is getting .7KW/m^2 of thermal energy. HOWEVER, Meyer describes Edward's skin as white and hard as granite. This means Edward's skin reflects light and doesn't absorb the energy. This makes the energy absorption about .385 KW which is about 385J
385 doesn't equal 160,000 and thus Bella and Edward would be dead and the world would be a better place (Credit link penname Silent_Thunder)

Meyer's vocabulary is highly inaccurate for her situations. Masochism, for example, is not something she should just say like she so easily did. It is perverted and disgusting. She obviously had a thesaurus. You should know what I'm saying when I say "Thesaurus Rape".

Ummm... alright, admittedly there are a few times in the books where she could've used this but never where she actually did. She makes me want to Major in VOCABULARY so I can teach her how to USE it.

Meyer so obviously missed History class. At some point in the books, Meyer says that Rosalie was not affected sa pamamagitan ng the Great Depression because her father worked at a bank. However, banks were the core cause of the Depression and their workers would've been hit the hardest. But, in Meyer's world, everyone and everything must be perfect.
