As you can tell, I do not like Twilight. However, there is one character in the "saga" that I definatley agree with. That person happens to be... Rosalie.
Sure Rosalie is a asong babae most of the time, but when you watch her in "Eclipse" [my sister made me watch all the movies] you actually discover why she acts like that, especially towards Bella, and to be honest, I can't really blame her. In fact, I actually felt bad for her, and heres why:
In "Eclipse" Rosalie explains to Bella about what it's like to be a vampire, and the consequences. Rosalie was once a human in the 1930's era who had so many dreams that she wanted to achive, like getting married and having a family of her own. Unfortunatley, it was all taken away from her when her drunk boyfriend raped her and left her in the streets to die. Then Carlisle finds her and saves her sa pamamagitan ng turning her into a Vampire. She was glad to be alright, but did she like being a cold, deadly creature? Not really. Even getting payback from her boyfriend didn't even make her pag-ibig being a Vampire.
What really captured me the most about that scene, was the line where she wishes that she was living somewhere, sitting on a porch with her Grandchildren. I almost cried because it's true: Once you're a Vampire, you can never do any of those things. You're pretty much hiding from society most of the time and drinking blood from innocent others [unless you're a so-called "vegatarian" you drink animals. Who the heck would want a life like that?
But yet, Bella, no matter how sad Rosalie's story was and how much Edward warns her, she still wants to become a Vampire. Why? because she wants to be with Edward for the rest of her life, rather than be with her Family and Friends, going to college and be someone. I believe that is the most selfish thing that anyone in the world can do because it means that you would sacrifice the people who really pag-ibig you the most for something that's deadliy and destructive. If I happen to be in pag-ibig with a Vampire, no matter how much I was in pag-ibig with him, I would never, in a million years, trade my life and my Family for him. Bella only decides to become a vampire because she felt like her life wasn't good enough for her. She felt like her Family was falling apart, didn't like to be with her mga kaibigan at school nor wanted to make any in the future. She wanted to marry an abusive Vampire and have a vampire family with him [can Bampira even reproduce???]
The point is, Bella should have taken Rosalie's payo and become something of herself and live the life that God gave her. I hope I made this clear and understandable.
