All I can really say is that they are completely different than the movies. You'd have to read them yourself to find out, but there are many differences, and the pelikula could never even compare to the books :)

it took me two weeks to read the segundo book, it doesn't pull me in like other books :(

Then I guess you could see the movies, I guess. It's going to be hard to find someone who can explain... But if you don't like the pelikula or find them boring or something else makes you not want to see the movies, then Harry Potter is just not for you...
