Beware spoilers.

Annoyed because of these changes:
Voldemort being reduced to ash by the killing curse.
Snape and Lily not being friends.
Voldemort using Sectumsempra to slit Snape's throat.
Harry snapping the Elder wand and not going to the Headmaster's office.
Lavender Brown being killed. Goyle being killed instead of Crabbe is acceptable, because it's not that significant.
Aberforth not explaining Dumbledore's story.
Ron and Hermione kiss in the Chamber of Secrets???
Snape being killed in a Crystal House? Where? Which Crystal House? There is no Crystal House near Hogwarts.

I'm mad at point 13!! Arrrgh! But most of them don't really upset me. We're used to changes after all.

The way I see it is the books are such a success and fans have read them multiple times and we all love them so much so why the hell would they want to change the storyline??

I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to adaptions, I don't see why there's any need to change bits of the story around at all.

I don't want to believe in these rumors :S

I've been up on the spoilers for quite some time, I've gotten a lot of information from Mugglecast at Mugglenet, as well as a couple of other official HP sites. Several of those "spoilers" listed there are considerably different from what I've previously heard. There's no sources listed, so, I'm not going to have a spaz over it.

However...

Points #1 & #2: He's a goblin, you can't trust him anyway, and it makes sense that the sword would disappear, because he had no right to it, goblin-made or not, the cheeky little monkey.

#3 I don't really care, I've read it about a dozen times, I don't need to watch it. :p

#4 I don't really care that much, just so long as they fking kiss already.

#5 I laughed hysterically when I read about this. Do drugs, damage your career.

#6 This is BS. But it wouldn't surprise me, Yates has fked around with so many other things.

#7 This really isn't a change, it was alluded to in the book. Rowling didn't actually write that Lavender died, but...hey, whatever.

#8 "Buckbeak, centaurs and house-elves don't appear during the Battle." Yeah, and I've bitched about this in other places here. Ultimately that's way too many "unnecessary characters" for them to be concerned with, I guess. I notice that the lister doesn't bother to mention that Peeves and Phineas Nigellus Black are left out (though Peeves was totally screwed over by all of the film makers). That's another two points I bitch about often. Aaaaanyway...

#9 Yeah, well...I'm not as upset about this now as I was when I first found out about it.

#10 Overkill, mate. Pathetic. (It also tells me that Yates wants to convey to the non-book fans that Voldemort suspected Severus of having betrayed him)

#11 Bye-bye Scabies. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

#12 I expected this. Hey, I'm just glad we even GET to see The Prince's Tale at all.

#13 What the fking Hell is this? Ah, well, you non-book fans are just going to have to read the books for the real story. ;)

#18 The only difference there is that Harry ain't nakie. And I don't really need to see that, so...I don't care.

#19 YAY MOLLY!!! Honestly, what difference does it make? It doesn't specify in the book what spell she uses to kill Lestrange. She might have improvised it, just as Jason Isaacs did in Chamber of Secrets, when Lucius Malfoy was going to AK Harry. He said the script called for him to use a spell, and AK was the only one he could think of. :-)) I don't care what spell Molly uses, just so long as Lestrange dies.

#20 I hope they remember to scatter those ashes (sorry, little Vampire humor there).

#21 & #22 This is just assinine. **Fantasizes about throttling Yates**

#23 Yeah, we just have to settle for that miserable, stinking rat bastard Pettigrew getting one in the head in Part One as his death. I won't go in to the other omissions because this has taken up enough space already.


There are a number of spoilers the lister hasn't mentioned that I feel are significant, so I just wonder what their sources were.

The change I'm somewhat proud to hear us Molly kills Bella with avada kedevra showing that the rumors about her blowing to bits are untrue. :)

What the fuck? So they split Deathly Hallows into two parts just so they could change everything? That is bullshit!

1.Griphook does not make a deal with the trio, and steals the Sword without warning.
I don't care about that one. He's a goblin. They lie.


2.When Griphook is killed by Voldemort, the Sword of Gryffindor disappears from his hands.
Don't care either

3.Aberforth Dumbledore doesn't explain his brother's backstory
OK, that makes me mad!

4.Ron and Hermione are nearly killed in the Chamber of Secrets when they are attacked by a tsumani created by Voldemort, as their "lives flashing before their eyes" they lean and kiss each other.
Seriously? That's so cheesy!

5.Vincent Crabbe doesn't appear in the film due to the drug charges against actor Jamie Waylett and Gregory Goyle will die in his place.
Ah well. If one of them dies I'm happy.

6.Fred duels a Death Eater during the battle, and then gets disarmed, and cornered by many other Death Eaters. This is likely what leads to his death.
I like this one. Fred acting the hero. That's gonna look hot on the big screen!


7.Lavender Brown is killed during the Battle by Fenrir Greyback
Who cares about her?

8.Buckbeak, centaurs and house-elves don't appear during the Battle.
Shoot. I liked that scene in the book.

9.Snape's death will not take place in the Shrieking Shack, but in "a Crystal House" that can see the boathouse and the castle burning.
If it makes me cry, it'll do.

10.Voldemort slashes Snape's throat open with the Elder Wand using Sectumsempra, before ordering Nagini to "finish him".
I like that one.

11.Scabior and other Snatchers duel Neville on the Covered Bridge, and they are killed when half of the bridge collapses.

13.Snape and Lily are not shown to be good friends, instead he admires her from afar.
Wahhhh! I love their friendship.

14.A scene shows Lily and James as teenagers dancing.
Ugh, I hate them together!

15.other scene shows Lily telling Harry, still an infant, to be brave and that he is loved.
Sounds sweet.

16.A scene is added where Snape comes to Godric's Hollow, after Lily and James were killed in 1981, to see them dead, even collapsing when seeing Lily dead. He then cradles her in his arms then sees Harry sitting in his crib watching on.
I don't know about this one...I'll have to watch it before I decide...

17.Harry tells Ron and Hermione that he is a Horcrux, and that he must die. Hermione tells him that she suspected so all along.
Ugh, I hate that! It'll make me wanna punch Emma's face!

18.Instead of Harry being naked when arriving at King's Cross he is instead fully clothed; he also sees Voldemort in the image of a red, slimy breathing thing.
Well Harry being naked would be kinda awarked. I don't like the Voldy thing but.

19.Molly kills Bellatrix with the Avada Kedavra Curse.
Weasley power! This sounds cool!

20.After being struck with the Killing Curse, Voldemort turns to ash, and crumbles apart in a similar manner to Quirrell in Philosopher's Stone.
That stinks.

21.After the conclusion of the battle. Harry, Ron and Hermione stand on the remains of the Covered Bridge discussing the events of the past year. Harry snaps the Elder Wand in two and throws it over the side.
How does he fix his own wand then?

22.Harry does not go to the Headmaster's Office after the battle.
Dang it! I was looking forward to all the clapping.

Really pissed about #13...that's the whole basis of Snape's story! If he and Lily were never friends he's just going to come across as a creepy stalker! I also LOATHE the fact that once again, they are going to focus on the action aspect of Snape's death instead of the deep emotional aspect that's in the books. Why, oh WHY do they keep messing with his story? I love it just the way it is!
