H.P.Lovecraft and his works have inspired quite a few modern araw horror writers. Some admit to his influence and use it as a springboard for their own works while some deny any knowledge whilst stealing heavily from the the great author. Thankfully Mr Gonzalez falls into the first category and this collection of short horror fiction excels at giving a macabre modern twist on some of Lovecraft's fundamental themes. Borrowing place names and situations to delve deep into the mythos that Lovecraft created, that of cults and conspiracies, of Old Gods that now banished from this realm await the opportunity to return and tear the world asunder.

This collection contains seven stories including;

Tattoos; A young couple get tattooed sa pamamagitan ng a world renowned artist but their joy at receiving unique works directly to the skin soon turns maasim when the artist dies and the mga tattoo begin to take on a life of their own.

Going Home; A woman returns to her rural roots only to discover an old, dangerous promise her father made when she was a child still threatens her existence in this world.

The Revenge of Cthulhu; A wannabe actor has a very, very bad araw which ends in him becoming the victim of something strange that lurks over his tahanan in the hills.

The Watcher From the Grave; A novella length story which details a man investigating the mysterious death of an may-akda and the facts behind a fabled book that calls forth The Old Gods a race of people that pre-date modern man and now lurk within the stars.

Although this book won't take a long time to get through, the stories are all satisfying reads based on many different themes from westerns to humour but all with a strong and constant underlying theme of threat and horror. The may-akda introduces each tale with wit and honesty, making this book one fine collection of macabre tales.

This is an excellent book. The may-akda manages to weave numerous characters, scenarios and themes together seamlessly. If you like vampires, mga asong lobo or zombies or just like a good 'end of the world' yarn then you'll find something here to enjoy. The story is subtly underpinned sa pamamagitan ng a religious tone that while being moralistic stays clear of being too preachy as to put the reader off. Add to that moments of sparkling wit and pitch black humour you have yourself a very entertaining and intelligent novel where the twists and turns in the plot flow as freely as the buckets of gore.A brilliant horror novel. Enjoy. Thank you for reading.

An apocolyptic novel where a bunch of people are left on an island filled with the walking dead, each is ibingiay a weapon and told only one must survive, all for the tele-visual entertainment of the fat and rich.A blisteringly brilliant novel from Carlton Mellick III that is hugely enjoyable with buckets of gore and violence, socio-political ideology and even the inclusion of a robotic Mr T. The zombies are madami of the shuffling Romero kind but none the less deadly as the contestants die off in ever madami gruesome and darkly funny ways, we begin to wonder if anyone will survive. Brilliant and hilarious.

Being the president must be a difficult job. The last thing you need is to be infected with lice while half of America turns into vegetables and gets eaten sa pamamagitan ng their pets.
This is a horror short story collection all based around the premise of presidents and/or the White House.
There's ghosts, a zombie, a werewolf, a botched assassination attempt, re-animated dead celebrities serviced sa pamamagitan ng prostitutes amongst others. The horror here is disgustingly brilliant, twisted to the extreme but always with an underlying wit and intelligence that makes every story fresh and wholly satisfying to read. Although...

Flash fiction seems to be a growing trend and in this ebook it is done brilliantly. Using EXACTLY 100 words for a story must be tricky,to instantly interest the reader but not leave them frustrated that the story ended too soon. Most of the stories included here deal with zombies. Seen from many angles there is a crude nasty humour that runs throughout most of them. It tasteless and dark but magnificent and exactly what horror fans want. There are other stories included that are of normal short story length and deal with different topics that include apocalypse and weird fantasy.
This collection is high on quality and although you may read it in one sitting some of the tales here will stay in your head for a while after. Well written and edited it is definitely worth your time.
There is an over-abundance of werewolf tales available in all forms of entertainment so finding a fresh take on this old story is very difficult but this book manages to discover one. The idea here is that a lobo lives within some people (albeit latent) just sitting there waiting for the right set of circumstances and a large amount of provocation.

The story revolves around a everyday guy called Syd, for whom life is downbeat and boring then one araw Nora walks into his life who precedes, within a very short puwang of time, to turn his humdrum life upside down. Nora is no normal woman and the...

This is the first John Everson story I have read and after this I will definitely sa pamamagitan ng pagbaba more. If this gruesome, bleak and gory little tale is anything like his other works, true horror fans should not be disappointed.

In this novella we met three kids, all on a rapid downward spiral. Unpopular and rejected sa pamamagitan ng others, desperate and pitiful in their actions, wasting their lives with drugs, sex, self-mutilation and suicidal thinking. All class themselves as complete failures until along comes Aaron. An older gentlemen who feasts on the ripe opportunity to lure the three no-hoper's into a horrific...

It is impossible to categorize this novel. It starts out like a western; a shady saloon, a cynical barman, a dangerous stranger who goes sa pamamagitan ng the name of the burbon Kid. Add to the mix a gangster, two monks, a bounty hunter, a young couple on the scam, an assassin who impersonates Elvis...Oh, and there's a bunch of Bampira too and they're all after a blue jewel that can control the moon.
Sound bizarre? It is. It's also blistering witty, extremely violent, filled with acidic one-liners and lashings of gore. This book (the may-akda remains nameless) is for anyone who loves a bit of anarchy in their pagbaba material. The plot jumps all over the place and you have to keep up and still, just when you think you've got it all figured out, there's a twist. For it's sheer inventiveness, this book is highly recommended.
