After their swim, Onyx walked Misty back to her street, she never liked saying goodbye to Onyx - the goodbye’s always seemed so final.
As they arrived, Misty felt tears well up in her eyes, she knew she was being silly, she would see him tomorrow, but she wished days like today could last forever. Misty turned to Onyx and smiled.
“I guess I’ll see you tomorrow” Misty sinabi quaintly. Misty hugged Onyx, a harder task than it sounds, Onyx was a lot taller than her, and bulkier too. Misty let go and Onyx began to walk home. He turned and waved once, then continued walking. And with that, he was gone, and Misty was left to continue her walk alone.

Onyx wandered to his house, pondering the thought of leaving Misty alone, he didn’t like upsetting her, but he couldn’t stay with her forever. A cool change entered the atmosphere, an electric wave was sent down Onyx’s spine.
Rain..? Onyx thought, staring up at the clouds that faintly resembled his hair colour. After a minuto or so, he gave up and continued on his walk home. Shortly before entering his house, he felt a large, icy drop of rain land on the back of his palm.
Puzzled, he stopped and looked around. In less than 30 seconds, it was pouring torrential rain, Onyx had to run inside. Weird... Onyx thought to himself, entering his warm home.

Misty walked slowly down her street, she hated it there and wished she could live somewhere nice, with her own family, but that was a dream long nakaraan broken.
Something in the air changed suddenly. It smelled like rain, but not normal rain. This was somehow heavier, scarier. Misty shivered, an electric wave passing through her. Misty dragged out slow paces, trying to put off going back home; it was then that the clouds opened up. Her hair was drenched in seconds. Misty didn’t mind her clothing being wet; they were still wet from her swim. She entered the house as quickly as she could to prevent her foster mum Judy, from seeing her, but it was too late.
She looked like she had a speech planned, when she glimpsed Misty’s hair, she changed course. “Misty what did you do to your hair? What did I tell you, stop dying it! I don’t know how you afford these dyes but please, stop doing it. It’s such an embarrassment, Do you hear me?!” she yelled. Misty ignored her and continued walking. After she climbed the stairs, she went to her room and went straight to the mirror - her hair had turned a bright blue. She moaned softly, and then lay on her bed, listening to the rain outside, but sa pamamagitan ng now the wind had joined it.

Onyx walked up the stairs, avoiding his busy parents. He entered his cosy, large room and sat on his bed, positioned in front of his window. He settled into the comfortable mattress, complete with his favourite red tartan blanket.
He looked out of his window at the rain that had mysteriously appeared, when the window begun to rattle with the heavy winds. He closed his heavy eyes, and listened to the wind and rain. Onyx gently floated into a dream.

Even with the storm raging, Misty could hear Judy approaching; she heavily trudged up the flight of stairs. She entered sa pamamagitan ng without knocking, as usual.
“Misty how many times have I told you to come tahanan straight after school? You have chores...” Misty blocked out her voice and looked at her blankly. “Don’t look at me like that; you know your eyes give me the creeps.”Judy sighed irritably and walked out. Misty got up, closed her door, and then walked to the window, opening it slowly.
She measured the height from the window to the ground; it looked about four metres if not more. She hastily climbed out, then let go of her grip on the sill, falling to the ground softly. She had to get away, she couldn’t put up with Judy’s nagging much longer. She ran through the rain, getting drenched once more, and headed towards Onyx’s house.
Once she arrived, she went around to his window and after tapping on it with small stones for ten minutes; he finally stirred from his deep sleep and saw her. He quickly came to the front door, and led Misty up the stairs towards his room.
