Do you think that "How I Met Your Mother", "Scrubs" and "Friends" are kinda the same?

I was pagbaba Perez Hilton yesterday for the first time in months. Truthfully he pisses me off and I rarely read his garbage, but I'm living in Europa now, and once in awhile he has interesting American dish. He made a comment about how HIMYM was once again "copying" Friends. I am so sick of people saying the two are the same. They are not at all the same and I think they are hardly even similar. Honestly I think HIMYM has characters (maybe besides Barney) that are completely real and believable. mga kaibigan characters are complete exaggerations which are often times very annoying. And I am a tagahanga of Friends, so this is a very honest answer. Joey and Phoebe, for example, I cannot stand. In HIMYM, I genuinely pag-ibig and root for all of the characters.
I have only watched Scrubs a few times, so I don't know if my opinion is really valid. I think that the humor is similar to HIMYM, but not to mga kaibigan in the slightest. Each of the shows have unique elements, but HIMYM is of course my favorite. And I have seen every episode of both HIMYM and mga kaibigan and I own the ENTIRE mga kaibigan series on DVD.

No! I understand what you mean though! But they are all comedies! Sitcoms, so of course they are much alike.. But they are also TOTALLY different.

Well, they all evolve around a group of friends, but I don't think they're the same. Scrubs is set in a hospital, so that's really different from the others. mga kaibigan and How I met your mother are both about a group of five/six friends, but I think that the kind of humor is completely different. mga kaibigan is much older, it's a real classic, but How I met your mother is madami modern. I like all three, but HIMYM is definitely my favorite!

I've never watched Scrubs so I can't really comment on that but I think HIMYM is much funnier than Friends. They are a similar format but I find mga kaibigan an annoying ipakita most of the time. I watch it when there is nothing else on while I make sure to record HIMYM. Though to give mga kaibigan some credit I don't know if HIMYM would have been ibingiay a chance without the popularity of Friends.

I think HIMYM and mga kaibigan are kind of the same idea. mga kaibigan living in New York together blah blah blah. But I think there's something different to HIMYM. It's not the same as the "classic sitcom". I really pag-ibig mga kaibigan too but HIMYM has madami original ideas and I honestly think the characters make it funnier. Scrubs to me is completely different. I don't like putting it in the same category. It is hilarious like the other two but I think it's a bit madami unique. It's definitely not just another sitcom.
