shaykh55 I am a professional singer and a life-long fan of I Love Lucy; arguably the greatest sitcom in American TV History. This show has been more innovative than perhaps any other shows ever. From changing the way TV shows were taped and preserved (with 4 cameras instead of the conventional 2 cameras previously) to spearheading the move to syndication and thereby keeping the best of sitcoms in the public eye and prolonging the careers of thousands of stars who might have otherwise become obscure. So with such a legacy to fall back on, I find it strange that suddenly I Love Lucy is hard to find on commercial or cable/satellite tv programming. Stranger still is the silence of the I Love Lucy Fan Club who should be far more vocal in letting the networks know of their displeasure; and, demand that I Love Lucy be returned to tv programming at once. It is a shame that Americans don't preserve these national treasures. I Love Lucy has been shown in almost every country in the world; and, translated into every spoken language known to mankind. Who can I contact to join me in protesting this travesty of short-sightedness on the part of TV programming executives who only see demographics from questionable national survey groups? The Honeymooners national fan club protested so loudly when its favorite show was cancelled many years ago and the TV networks made the adjustment in their schedule and made room for The Honeymooners; a show that is seen every weekend in many markets today.
