He can be my Master anytime! Actually I liked him as both Mr Saxon AND Sam Tyler so this was a hard choice. I think The Master just edges it as he was so deliciously wicked. And John just looked drop dead gorgeous in that black suit.

Just finished watching The Devils Whore.
Thought John was just fine in Life on Mars but this role has blown that out of the water.
If you haven't seen it you're really missing out.

Definitely Sam Tyler, because John just fit the part perfectly.
He was great as the master too.

I've always thought of him as Sam Tyler but I've seen the Devils Whore recently and he is so hot in that.

Sexby = sexy - blew me away in Devil's Whore but he'll always be Sam Tyler for me

I first liked him when he was Danny in The Lakes actually, but loved him as Sam Tyler, he was perfectly cast. But when I saw him as The Master he just blew me away. The Master aka Mr Saxon is probably my all-time favourite Doctor Who character, apart from The Doctor himself.
