End of Chapter 17
***Bella's POV****
She walked towards me, her eyes unrecognizable from the ones I saw when she walked in. She was about half way to me when I started scrambling backwards on the bed, trying to get away from her. For some reason though, she kept walking towards me, as if she didn't see me anymore.
"Annah, STOP!!!" A voice called from behind her.
She turned to the voice, her body tensing in anticipation.
"Stop, now." The voice ordered again. "She is our....guest. She will not be harmed....those are the rules."
"Can't you smell it?" Annah asked, her voice changing...becoming madami guttural.
"Yes, and that is why you must leave. They will kill you if you lay a finger on her." The voice called as a tall, blond man walked into the room. "Leave Annah." He ordered.
She looked like she was going to argue, but with the last command she started walking to the door, her head turned to watch me as her body walked out, as if on it's own.
The blond man turned and shook his head before looking at me. "I apologize, Bella." He sinabi as he held his hand out.
I couldn't respond, there was so much that I didn't understand about what was going on...why did Annah look like she had no control over her body, as if she had to do whatever he commanded her to do?
Chapter 20
"Bella?" He asked as he took a slow step towards me, stopping as I crawled back at the same time.
"Please stop." I sinabi as I held my hand out to him. "Please."
He stopped, his hands held out to me as a sign that he was going to stop, to let me relax.
"Bella, I will not hurt you." He sinabi as he turned around and grabbed a chair, bringing it back to the spot that he was standing. "I am here to protect you."
"Protect me?" I asked softly. "Protect me from what?"
"Well." He sinabi as he closed his eyes. "To protect you from people like Annah, she doesn't know how to control herself."
"And you do?" I asked as I applied pressure to my still seeping leg. "I have to clean this up, please don't move."
"Yes, I can control myself better then almost anyone I've met. You don't have to worry about me." He said.
The way he sinabi that made me wonder who would have to worry about his level of control? I was positive that he wasn't human, from the one display with Annah...I knew that he had some kind of special ability....it's like he controlled her.
"Bella, go clean your leg please? There is a first aid kit in the cupboard....they sinabi you would probably need it." He said, smiling at the last comment.
I slowly climbed off the bed, never taking my eyes off of him. When I climbed off the bed, I had to take my hand off of my leg...which caused it to bleed again. I kept my eyes on the man sitting in the chair, my entire body tensed in case he Nawawala control of himself.
"Go Bella." He sinabi as he smiled.
I walked backwards into the bathroom, closing the door and locking it before I turned around. I walked over to the cupboard, looking for the first aid kit...which was right on the shelf in front of my eyes.
I opened the kit and pulled out the band aids and some gauze, turning to the sink to wet a wash cloth. When I had the cut washed out completely I wiped the entire thing with gauze before putting the band aid on. I rinsed off my jeans the best that I could before I opened the door.
He was still sitting there, a smug smile written on his face. I shook my head as I walked back over to the bed, crawling on slowly...watching him the entire time.
"You have questions." He said...sure of my answer.
"Yes."
"Ask them." He sinabi as she grinned.
"And you will answer them honestly?" I asked, anger boiling inside of me.
"As honestly as I can."
"Ok fine." I sinabi as I sat up straight. "Where am I?"
"In a room."
"Very funny." I sinabi as I glared at him. "Where is this room?"
"Inside a building."
"If you aren't going to help, you can leave." I sinabi as I pointed at the door.
"Different question." He sinabi as he turned his head and smiled.
"Does Edward know where I am?" I blurted out, without thinking.
He flinched suddenly, his entire body becoming rigid when I asked about Edward. I decided to try something more.
"Do the Cullens know where I am?" I asked, a smile starting to form.
"NO!!" He yelled as he stood up, his hands balled into fists. "And they NEVER will."
"Wow...I hit a nerve there." I sinabi softly, instantly wishing that I wouldn't have sinabi it out loud.
"They will NEVER find you!!! You better get comfortable!" He yelled as he turned and walked to the door.
