Katy Perry posed with a mini-me of herself (pictured below) at the Svedka-sponsored People party at Mr. West nightclub on Wednesday (May 6). Before Rihanna showed up to support her Katy, here’s what the 24-year-old “I Kissed A Girl” singer opened up to JustJared.com about:

KP: Hi! I pag-ibig your site so much! You’re the man because you ipakita good pictures and you’re not trashing people’s lives and making people cry! You’re a nice guy, I like that. You’re trying to change the idea of media. It’s cool.

JJ: We sort of have similar religious backgrounds. Maybe we relate on that level?

KP: Maybe that’s why you still have integrity?

JJ: (laughs) Do you call yourself a sellout then?

KP: Oh yeah, I sold out my whole tour! I’m a sellout in the most positive way! (laughs) But no, I don’t think I’m a sellout at all. I like to go big! I pag-ibig pop music, I’m not ashamed, you know? A lot of people are like “Ugh, pop music.” Or major record labels think it’s cool to be indie but my dream as a little girl was to be on the Grammys and to have my record be available to everyone in the whole world. That’s why I need that big record label.

(Click inside to continue pagbaba Katy’s interview with JustJared.com…)

JJ: Go big or go home, right?

KP: Oh, always! You can see that in my outfits. You can see that in my conversations and interviews, I don’t know. That’s how I’ve always been.

JJ: What’s your paborito thing to do when you’re visiting New York? (JJ Note: Katy lives in L.A.)

KP: I pag-ibig NY so much! I would ilipat to NY if my life wasn’t already so intense. The thing about NY is that you have no excuses to take the elevator down from your apartment and meet your mga kaibigan at the bar downstairs. New York is just such a cultural shmorgishboard. It’s very artistic and inspiring. It always has such a constant energy about it every hour! I pag-ibig that it has all different kinds of people! You could sit on a bench, watch people, and be so inspired sa pamamagitan ng it. So much character! The shopping here is unbelievable. After touring a lot of different places, and being all around the world…New York City and Tokyo are the siksikan shopping spots. Nothing else compares.

JJ: Where is the one place you must go shopping?

KP: There are a couple places, I go to the Lower East Side because I like madami of the little boutiquey stuff. I pag-ibig this one tindahan called Mandate Of Heaven. She is my favorite, she does rompers and jumpers. I just bought this kulay-rosas jumper. It has a portrait of a kitten on it and it’s really short so it shows off my butt a little. But it’s very innocent, very Lolita. So if you come to NYC you have to check out Mandate Of Heaven!

JJ: Are you performing in NY any time soon?

KP: I am! I was just here for three sold-out shows at the Irving Plaza, and I’ll be back July 28th at the Gramercy.

JJ: What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve ever done?

KP: Well, you know, when you’re a teenager you feel invincible. Maybe, in retrospect, the most dangerous thing I’ve ever done was driving for the first time on the 405 in 5 lanes of traffic, at night. First time, in my first car, a black Jetta.

JJ: Any insider info you can give us about your new music video, “Waking Up In Vegas”?

KP: Yes! If you look at the opening scene, which is kind of the way we ended as well, you will see a little old lady to the left with like an oxygen tank on. If you are on the outskirts of Vegas, it can get really depressing. You’ll see old people with their gambling carts and you’ll be like “Ew, you need the Lord!” (laughs) That little old lady is my 88-year-old grandma! She lives in Las Vegas and she was dying to be in the video.

JJ: And your BFF Markus is in this video?

KP: Yes! Markus Molinari, my best friend. You can catch him for a split segundo at the tuktok of the drag reyna opening at the table. Markus is also coming with me to Vienna while I’m hosting Life Ball.

You would think
That I could find
A simple song,
A photograph of mine
To ipakita this public eye,
What I have to offer
I may not have a PHD,
Or speak
In eloquent philosophy!
I'm nothing more
Than simply me you see!

CHORUS (*1):
What I am trying to say
I'm just a babe
In so many ways!

I'm still growing,
Still stretchin'
Still breaking
In these new shoes
Looking for a way
To make a mark of my own
I'm just a spring chick,
Wet behind the ears
It's a part of life
So there's no need to fear
These growing pains
That I'm going through

I don't regret,
I'm not ashamed
That I haven't yet begun
To speaketh ways...
(As the wisest...

Hello, hello I'm searchin' for a man
With pag-ibig filled eyes and them healing hands
Hello, hello I've been waiting for so long
Don't disconnect me cause it's my last call

CHORUS(*):
For help...yeah help
For help...

CHORUS:
Cause it's 8-9-9-3-8-3-3, come on and listen to me
Take my call, collect my change,
Cause Lord I'm calling on Your name

Don't wanna leave, don't wanna say goodbye
Still fifteen minutos for my thrity-five
And where's this good in goodbye?
Cause talking to you is bringing me...

CHORUS(*):
This life...yeah life
This life...yeah

CHORUS(2x)

Music break

CHORUS(4x)

THIS IS MY LAST CALL!

(Verse 1)
I'm out on my own again
Face down in the porcelain
Feeling so high but looking so low
Party favors on the floor
Group of girls banging on the door
So many new fair-weather mga kaibigan ooo…

(CHORUS)
Have you ever been so lost
Known the way and still so lost

(Verse 2)
Caught in the eye of a hurricane
Slowly waving goodbye like a pageant parade
So sick of this town pulling me down
My mother says I should come back tahanan but
Can't find the way cause the way is gone
So if I pray am I just sending words into outer space

(CHORUS)
Have you ever been so lost
Known the way and still so lost
Another night waiting...

You gotta help me out
It's all a blur last night
We need a taxi 'cause you're hung-over and I'm broke
I Nawawala my fake I'd but you Nawawala the motel key
Spare me your freakin' dirty looks
Now don't play me
You want to cash out and get the hell out of town

CHORUS:
Don't be a baby
Remember what you told me
Shut up and put your money where your mouth is
That's what you get for waking up in Vegas
Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes, now
That's what you get for waking up in Vegas

Why are these lights so bright
Oh, did we get hitched last night, dressed up like Elvis,
And why, why am I wearing your class ring?...
