This has really been bothering me and I needed somewhere to respond with all my feelings so I decided what better way than an artikulo about it? Anyways I am pretty sure we have all seen this. There is a poll on fanpop or a tanong that involved Klaus and Caroline. There are always those few people who say "Klaus is too out of character which is why Klaus/Caroline doesn't work for me." Which is fine since everyone is entitled to their opinion but this statement always irks me.

Now we all know in life there aren't strictly just good and bad people. Otherwise everyone would be boring and plain. There would only one side to a person and they would be a flat character, not a round and complex on like people usually are. Everyone has layers as a person and are mysteries needed to be uncovered. This is the case with Klaus in my opinion. He was hurt as a human and felt as if he could never trust anyone but himself. His father was too harsh on him and his mother turned against him in a time of need. He suffered through pain and turned off the switch on his humanity like many have done. He doesn't want any weaknesses and he sees pag-ibig as his biggest weakness so he tries to avoid it at all costs in order to protect himself from getting hurt. His faults are his impulse and his inability to handle those who disappoint him. And even if Klaus shows humanity it isn't like he will go on an animal diet, he will still be killing humans. So it isn't like he is OOC in any major aspects, if at all.

Now Klaus has lived a lonely life for many years so of course he just wants someone there for him to care for him. Who wouldn't? Maybe it is about time he had someone to be there for him, to actually be loyal and and care about him. So here comes Caroline. She is beautiful, very bravo (which he definately appreciates along with her strength) and she is full of light. She could be Klaus's pinagmulan of humanity. But people say that Klaus ipinapakita humanity is OOC. Well I am pretty sure it was mentioned multiple of times in the series that no matter how hard one tries to shut their humanity out it always has a way of coming back in. That it is never truly gone. But yet if that situation happens to Klaus it isn't right.

Now my problem is when people say this and yet they ship a couple like Stefan/Katherine. Katherine has been portrayed as a asong babae who will hurt anyone to get what she wants. She is very selfish and believes that her life is madami important than others. And yet the moment when Katherine is shown to actually have loved Stefan and shows her humanity everyone loves her character. Meanwhile Klaus begins to develop feelings for Caroline and ipakita his humanity and it is out of character? How does that make sense at all?

So this is all I have to say for now, I will probably think of madami things once I ilathala this because that is what always happens to me. ;)
