I'm stumped! lol what do you think, LP'ers???

Yep. I would have loved more episodes with Leyton and Sawyer, and although nobody can guarentee that the show wouldn't have still turned south, I think that it would have been better if they had stayed on! Plus their would have been some epic Paley moments with Haley's mom, Laley/Lathan moments throughout the Renee stuff, and Breyton moments with Brooke finding out that she can't have children.

I think that if we could have had no new characters and kept our LPS on the show that it would have been better, I think that them leaving is what ruined the show.

The show wouldn't be SHIT if LP stayed and no new characters were introduced. It'd be a dream come true<3

HMMMM... This is a tough one for me. Because although I do think that a lot of the reason season 7 and 8 arn't good is because of the departure of Leyton... I mean come on they were two of the shows main characters and one of the main couples. But at the same time I truly do believe that the writers and Mark are completly out of ideas, so who knows what they would have done to Leyton. As much as I would love to see Leyton as parents and married I really wish they would have just ended the show in season 6 because every one got there happy ending. Lucas and Peyton got married and started a family, Nathan joined the MBA, Haley went back into music, and Brooke finally learned to love again. Its what they all wanted for a long time. And in season 7-8 they ruined Brooke's company just like that, after showing how hard she worked to get it that successful. And seriously after having 7 seasons of showing how much Nathan wants to be a basketball player and having atleast one story line each season that revolves around that to just end up telling us that no he's not going to be a basketball player at all and is just going to end up being an agent. I think the shows writing and ideas are just bad now and I'm glad Leyton was saved from that as much as I would have loved to see more of them and Sawyer.

I LOVE lp don't get me wrong, but the show was going south in s6...I really only kept watching cause LP had a good "final" storyline going for them. The show overall by s6 however, was very weak. With or without LP, S7 and 8 would have been weak. What else would they explore? Having a baby is boring. They fast forwarded Naley's "baby" process and jumped straight to JimmyJam the child wise beyond his years angle for crying out loud. I'm happy with the few LP scenes we got post delivery. The show would have been fine to end at s4; by s6 it was beyond time for the show to end - and with the little dignity it had left. At this point (s7/8) the show is a spin-off, not OTH imo.

This. OTH is just not the same anymore, and I'm afraid that Mark would have ruined LP if they had stayed. The writing is nothing compared to what it used to be like. The season 6 finale was perfect, and from then on the show just went downhill.

Yeah, I think I agree with a lot of you that while I would have LOVED to see more LP and Sawyer... the possibility of Mark ruining them would always be there. Just too risky. I missed LP SO much when they left, but I'd much rather miss them, and remember them in an amazing way... than still have them, and their magic be gone. Their ending was perfect, I really couldn't have asked for anything more. EVERYONE'S ending was perfect. And if it ain't broke... don't fix it! <333

I still think ending after S6 would have been the best thing. It was the perfect spot for an ending, and the show would have ended on a high note, the way it should have. No point in dragging out something

One Tree Hill HAD to end in season 6.Or in season 4.For me,the highschool years were the best.and LP was together and it was such a great finale.But on the other hand we wouldn't have got LP's marriage and baby Sawyer so it's nice we had a chance to watch them getting older and watch their lifes after school.But till there.After that it got boring and indifferent & not only because LP left .

OTH season 6 ending was perfect but I would have loved to see one season of LP family. I waited six years for them to be a family and then we only had three scenes of Lp + Sawyer. I would have loved to see them as parents <3
