So, what does lie in the shadow of the statue?

In the season 5 finale, Alana asked Richard "what lies in the shadow of the statue" and he answered something in spanish I think. Can anyone tell me what that meant?

Thus revealing to Richard and all the Others that the "John Locke" whom Richard had been following was an impostor.
